Transits from the 60's, no, not really.

It’s funny how we all want what we can’t get.
I’m in the UK where all we have are Transits and other vans with small rattly diesel engines.

I absolutely drool over your full-size Fords/Ram/Chevy vans with their lovely sounding V8s!

The van in the picture is 50-55 years old. Work vehicles used to work hard and thus wear out relatively quickly. Additionally, this is a rust prone car because it’s from the 60s. Add the requirement to pass inspection for half a century, and the survival rate is low. A few are still around though.

weirdo...

I wonder if that combi could even be flown safely with a minimal passenger manifest, given the extreme rearward shift of the center of mass when the cargo hold is full.

It totally revolutionized bank robberies thanks to being quicker and having better handling than any van up to that point. Shortly after its introduction, 90% of the all robberies used it as a getaway car, as Clarkson narrates...

That’s unbelievable.  You must have bought the haunted one off the lot.  My ‘96 LS400 is still bulletproof today.

I think they crammed all the faults into that one car. Sorry you got it. My LS is flawless.

I too was expecting those comments, but none materialized. Maybe 1,500-word columns are too long for them to read then complain about?

For many international carriers, freight is a large portion of their revenue.

Grear read Max. Adding to your article, I saw this earlier this week too. COVID19 really is awful, isn’t it?

So not only do they charge me for luggage and shrink my leg space, but they were also making a ton of cash moving freight and still had to get bailed out.

Great read. Thank you.

Dealer listing:

No bar, only enough room for one prostitute, that stock seat doesn’t even recline and I don’t see a single flat surface fit for snorting cocaine. CP.

They don’t look great, but I don’t mind them terribly. The only cars that have curtains are super high end chauffeur driven. Open them or with tinted windows I’m sure it doesn’t look too bad.

I dunno, considering at the time this was the competition from other Sheiks, I find this LS downright discreet. The only thing in poor taste I’d remove is the L from the B pillars.

People need to know just how bad it had gotten for workers before unionization really gained power.

He hates the 40hr work week, sick time, holidays, and labor laws that we all enjoy. Fuck them, right?
