Overall the minivan market is sizable enough to be profitable for the top 3 contenders. The whole category had over 408,000 sales last year.

I am pleased to see more privateer teams and less factory support. You are 100% right about Le Mans being cyclical. I love when OEM’s spend gargantuan amounts of $$$ to develop novel tech like Audi’s diesel hard-on or Nissan’s front-engine debacle but there’s something about multi-millionaires (and billionaires)

I worked at Toyota when the concept debuted. The rear doors and front ‘suicide’ doors were cool as well as well-engineered. I really wanted to drive this one around the parking lot but special projects said no way...

Hey, welcome to the club F-Series. The Honda Fit is decently comfortable in this configuration.

Totally agree. A minivan is a minivan. I do wonder what Hyundai is going to call the Santa Cruz... Compact Recreation Activity Pickup (CRAP)... Hybrid Pickup Vehicle (HPV)? Dunno, but the renders look decent. Hello new Ridgeline competitor.

Let’s talk about Soccer/Field Hockey/LAX/Football/Little League Moms. There is a reason they have demanded SUV’s to carry their brood. Minivans have better packaging and are generally better to drive than SUV’s. But a big SUV gives her that king of the road seating position she loves. Toyota had a good idea with this

That’s all I’m gonna say... If you wonder if the government works for you ask why the chicken tax and 25 year import rule still exists.

Underrated comment. For those who don’t know British slang or haven’t wandered into some dark places in the porn world.

Torch, this is the hard hitting journalism I come to Jalopnik for. I’m really glad your exposing Mini’s carnibalistic past. Remember the Clubman’s great grandson was a chip off the old block.

Let’s not forget that O.J. worked for Ford as a Hertz spokesmurderer until the day of that low-speed chase.

You nailed it with the Telluride inspiration, Torch. I suspect all the redesigns of mid and full-size SUV’s are going to ape the Telluride/Palisade styling. Here in the land of six-figure SUV’s I see a ton of the Kia/Hyundai twins in very high-end neighborhoods. Basically if you don’t want to deal with German

J7The Transit Trail grille would look ridiculous even on an actually capable van like this lifted one.

Exactly the opposite. There is zero reason to hate or even dislike Mr. Tyler Hoover. I have watched every one of his videos at least once. I find him hilarious, knowledgeable and we share similar tastes in hoopties. His love of diesel mercs and fascination with large SUV’s match my own.

I’m not going to waste my time explaining why a diverse workforce is important especially when it comes to advertising. You are not looking for an explanation. You are a troll who somehow escaped the grays.

I am excited for this race series. I love great off road racing and combined with innovative tech this will be fun to watch. I did not know the teams were required to field both a male and female driver but I am pleasantly surprised. Let’s see what happens when female drivers get a fair shot. (I smell improbable

I could almost buy that this ad just ‘slipped through’ and had no racist intent except for this:

I thought the Prowler was kinda cool then Hoovie got one...

Apparently the bridge opened to traffic in July and collapsed in November. The car in the video belonged to a reporter who was the last person to cross the bridge before its collapse. His dog, Tubby was in the car according to Wikipedia. Neither the car or Tubby made it out alive. 😪

It really could be a lot worse...

Are you sure that China is not Japan? I mix them up sometimes even though they fought a long and bloody war and have some serious resentments under the surface. I’ll go verify that independently. /s
