I’m fairly certain this is complete malarkey. Kia originally wanted to bring the K900 over using its Korean domestic name K9 but were dissuaded by the dealers and focus groups. I’ve already seen the stock video footage of the new Optima (for dealer adverts) and ‘K5' was nowhere to be seen.

I’m with David Tracy but I’d go for an M6 instead. 560 hp V8, 500 ft lbs, 0-60 in 4.2 seconds. Maintenance shouldn’t be any worse than your dearly departed 997.

Looks like the Yukon may have dodged a bullet. I’ll reserve judgement until I see the production version though.

Okay, so we know what BORING Kristen thinks... What does fabulously wealthy FANCY Kristen think?

I do. Thanks for asking.

Did they call the Probe a Mustang? No. I have no problems with a 4-cylinder or electric Mustang. I just have a problem with a jelly bean shaped crossover being called an iconic name. I don’t even love Mustangs but I would cry fowl if Chevy tried the same thing with the Camaro or Corvette.

I think the Mach-E might be a great e-crossover but the name is wrong. I could almost excuse it if Ford had released an all-electric Mustang FIRST. I’m just a random internet guy giving my opinion. The market will decide if the name was an error in judgement.

Of course I remember the X7. I just hate the dissolution of the Mustang brand AND how almost every auto journo was like “Get over it! It’s just marketing.”

Nuff said...

What’s up with using Kwame Kilpatrick’s pic? He’s a convicted crook who isn’t getting out until 2037 at the earliest. I assume he’s not using the internet to comment on Jalopnik. Kind of a shitty move...

I look forward to driving it when it finally arrives at dealers in a year. What I want is the i30 N. Come on Hyundai give me some of that sweet euro hot hatch action.

I want that two-door so bad I’m doing the math right now. I don’t like the modern wheel/tire package but I’ll make a swap. These are going to become more expensive as GM keeps putting out uglified SUV’s. They’re good, honest trucks.

I’ve really enjoyed this discussion. If everyone in the US was capable of having this kind of civil, fact-based discussion we would truly be the best nation on earth. I say this with a heavy heart because until I traveled internationally I really believed we were #1. After being welcomed in nations as diverse as the

Thank you David for the details on what I think is a well-engineered and capable SUV. Unfortunately, it’s fucking hideous. I think I prefer the first Z71 Tahoes.

I completely agree with most of your points. I will only point out that while I believe skilled immigrants is the precise reason why the US leads in tech, medicine, and many other fields our current regime has destroyed our reputation overseas. The number of skilled, educated visa applicants is declining. The worst

Great article! I’ve been following Bob Snell’s articles and the level of stupidity and disregard for the members is disgusting. I am pro-union... But I’m not sure how the UAW avoids a federal consent decree this time. They literally spent funds earmarked for worker training on cigars, golf rounds and women to

The 11-Foot-8 bridge is now the 12-Foot-4 bridge. Apparently it only took four hours to raise it. Now that’s funny.

That's terrifying but I wouldn't bet against GM's designers doing exactly that.

Yeah, sounds about right. Welcome to America. At least I know why I chose a 5,500 lbs., 420 horsepower, 16-foot SUV as a company car to drive 6 miles to work. When I’m not doing daddy duty I drive a manual two-door coupe. When the kids start catching the bus I’ll probably buy a BAC Mono. Lol.

I am seriously starting to believe that GM makes the Chevy pickups/SUV’S hideous so they can move more GMC’S. I’ll just take a Yukon, thanks.
