Grandfathered in on AT&T, but having a tough time justifying it. I never use more than 3GB per month, and think tethering might be what finally gets me to give it up. But...I'm a sucker for the word 'Unlimited'...it just seems so huge.

What?? No Subaru listed? For shame! The Outback wagon is one of the best dog carriers around (Volvo wagon excluded as there is really no better). My '02 WRX wagon comfortably carried two adults, two kids and a dog, or two adults and three dogs.

Yes, there will be a "next great thing" that actually lives up to the hype, but I assume that plebs like us can't really predict what it is as I'm sure the technology isn't public knowledge. I have Netflix. That is the only recurring monthly fee I pay for media of any sort. I don't pay for any other streaming service, and also don't pay for cable.

That's the simplest solution. However, the flip side is that when work pays for your phone, they expect you to answer it usually ;-)

It's when you start doing a lot of Netflix streaming that you start breaking your data cap. The one user in our group who consistently used 5GB+ of data was the one guy who commuted ~45minutes each way to work and watched Netflix in both directions, every day.

Totally agree. All the users on our AT&T business plan had grandfathered in unlimited data. I recently did a data audit and all but one of the users (26 in total) used less than 3GB a month for the previous 3 months. I bought an '02 WRX Wagon as soon as it hit US shores. It was my first Subaru, and I LOVED it. Last fall I bought a '10 Forester, cause I'm a family guy now and needed a new car. And we love it.
