By that logic, the Dodge Magnum and Buick Regal TourX (and about a million 80s/90s compact and mid-size wagons) are crossovers? Got it.

Worse Minivan is the perfect name for them. Because they’re not SUVs, and us station wagon folks don’t want ‘em in our camp, either.

My dad had a co-worker that used to proclaim to anyone who’d listen that “the only people that make fun of minivans are the folks who’ve never owned one.”

Agreed 100%.

Lovin’ that Country Squire on the right...

Dad and I are doing our first track day (in cars) at Mid-Ohio in 2020. I’m equal parts nervous, excited, and scared.

Dad and I finally took a road trip in his semi-ratty Caddy-powered ‘62 C-10 that we’d spent the previous four years getting roadworthy (wiring, interior, suspension, wheels, etc). Although this truck was really just a barhopper and parts runner for us before, we decided to really swing for the fences and do the 2019

I was just thinking about these little cars the other day. Our local Dodge store had a ton of them out front last year. Now, they (and every other Fiat) is gone from view...don’t even think they have any in stock. It’s like they just gave up on the brand...but they’re still affiliated.

Carbon Motors pt. 2: Electric Boogaloo

Oops, I dropped my Magnum condom Mustang brand name that I use for my monster dongelectric SUV.

Now playing

Seconded! And while we’re at it, let’s bring back IROC (and other race series) to Cleveland’s Burke Lakefront Airport (because lord knows we ain’t doin’ anything useful with it)...

Agree with this completely. I used a near identical switch on my 5-speed Crown Vic and it never let me down.

I legitimately HATE the Pocono double header idea. That track routinely has some of the best racing in the season (see: Blaney’s win in 2017) and it feels like they’re getting ripped off. Whatever NASCAR comes up with will be gimmicky and pointless.

I’m not optimistic after two races (even though as a Penske guy, I’m happy Kez won today).

Front end service on the ‘91 LTD Country Squire. Ball joints, tie rod ends, bearings, blah blah blah. I need to fix the shimmy and I think it’s just time for all-new parts.

I’ve been told that moisture and dirt buildup under the carpet caused reliability issues with the foot-operated switches.

My most shameful car secrets all involve GMs:
1. I’ve owned 2 third-gen Firebirds. Both were 5-speeds, but both were also V6s (2.8/3.1)
2. I have a scar on my arm from where my mom’s 2003 Grand Am GT attacked me during a simple rear brake job.
3. I ‘fixed’ the inner wheel well on my LT1 Caprice wagon with two expired

That’s just how Scott Speed drives. Anyone who watched his NASCAR ‘career’ could tell you that.

I like my tips.

I had a good friend in HS who bought one of these used. It was red and had a 5-speed. I don’t remember much about it other than I REALLY LIKED IT. Now I’m off to CL to see if I can find a clean one nearby...
