This has been a whole awkward thing even leading up to it. NASCAR was clearly more into the idea of being in L.A. than they were into hosting a great race.

My ‘77 Cordoba was equipped with this option...along with the 400ci V8 and Lean Burn. The damn light was almost ALWAYS on, no matter what. I gave up trying.

And the car action throughout the movie makes up for the dogshit plot.

Perhaps a more apropos comparison would be the ‘95 night race finish...Labonte went across sideways, and went to victory lane heavily damaged.

Boo hiss. Vegas and Kansas don’t need two races each. Give Pocono one of theirs back.  COTA blew in ‘21 but that was mostly weather-related so I’m excited to give that one a real chance. 

It wasn’t for 2021. I’m sure they will make some alterations to the track prep, etc...but they’d do better to just run at Eldora or another dirt track. 

Not sure how prevalent Federated stores are in y’all’s area (known locally to me as Fisher Auto Parts), but their synthetic and synthetic blend are cheap enough to merit a mention for those who don’t run dino. Federated-branded 5qt full synthetic is currently running $20.95 for a 5qt jug. Their store-brand filters…

Fram isn’t the company it was 15+ years ago. I’ve watched enough Fram comparo vids to swear them off entirely, grippy stuff or not.

Not sure if anyone has checked Panther prices lately, but they are way, way up right now...and yeah, I get that all used car prices are up...but Panthers, well, they’re in a league of their own. ‘Round my parts, $5500 gets you one with some rust. Nice price all day.
