Schitts Creek. Starring Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hera. It’s about a wealthy family that loses everything and is forced to go live in the small town they once bought as a joke. It’s great!

Incredibly informative. I just went and threw the thing into the trash. I’ve been fretting about this for a month and now it’s done. Thank you so much!
I hope this gets seen, I’m a perma-gray around here. I need help deciding what to do with a piece of Nazi memorabilia. I found it while cleaning my hoarder mom’s apartment. We lived in Berlin during the early 60's no doubt that’s how it ended up in her stuff. It’s a cast iron plaque depicting an eagle with a swastica…
I love your weekly entertainment history lessons, I learn something new every time. Lordypants, I can’t even name 8 cheeses, but your dish looks like 8 kinds of deliciousness!
That’s wonderful! What the what with prunes and a dashiki? This experience has lead me to curate my own collection of crap. I really don’t want my kids going through my stuff and wondering why I have all the weird things I’ve held on to.
I’ve been cleaning out my mom’s place after she went to assisted living and it sure has been interesting. She was a hoarder so lots of weird stuff...boxes full of remote controls...groceries that expired in 1988, I could go on. One cool thing is a record player from the early 70's and she had a bunch of records. My 25…
I sure do enjoy reading about all the stuff you’re learning in class, it’s fascinating! I don’t much to say other than that I’ve had the theme song from the early 60's TV show Gidget stuck in my head for two days. Any ideas on how to get rid of this will be welcomed.
Nausea, it’s the WORST. BLECH. Try making a tea by boiling ginger root and adding whatever sweeter you like. Sip on that, it works wonders. Me, I’m drinking fermented grape juice that comes in a cardboard container. It’s a new trend that I’m getting in on. Your class sounds fun, I was unaware of shooting contests of…
Box o wine, as per usual. Last night, however, Mr Zulu went out and I had me a 10$ margarita! I never do that! Fancy ingredients, served in an earthen container fashioned to look like a tiny Mexican pot. Perfect Bowie choice... I have loved him since I was a teen in the 70's. I had a poster of him on my bedroom wall…
I always love your musical offerings! Tonight, I am drinking a different brand of box wine, how’s that? Vella instead of Franzia, it was on special down at the Randall’s.
I used to have a recurring dream that I was the lone healthy survivor of a zombie apocalypse . I would roam the countryside gathering up the wounded and take care of them and fight off the zombies. This was over 30 years ago when I was waiting tables and trying to be an actress but I knew it wasn’t going anywhere. I…
Mission accomplished, in the parking lot of a grocery store today.
I’m drinking..well, you know. Sigh. I like your resolutions and it would be cool to see your standup performance, maybe you can link to some footage of it once you get going again so we can enjoy? My resolution this year is match up all my plastic ware containers with their lids.
Well, it’s a good night to ask what I’m cooking. I bought some fresh red snapper and asked Martha Stewart what I should do with it. She said just pan broil it so that’s what I did. Served with steamed spinach and a Caesar salad and boy was it good! Just like what one would pay a shit ton of money for in a fancy…
Yikes! I hope it didn’t include the subtitle...
If you ever feel like listening to old time radio, check out X Minus One. It aired in the late 50’s. The episodes are available online. It’s a Twilight Zone type of show from when radio was still the medium for delivering entertainment before television took over. Wonderful cheesy Space Age goodness.
How long does a Twilight Zone marathon last? Days? I would defintely expect delirium to set in by now but it’s probably curative much like a high fever kills off infection. You will be cured of your plague very soon!
We rented a U Haul today and found this magnet stuck on it. In my purse so I can affix it to the next vehicle I find displaying religious bumper stickers.
What am I drinking? I wish I could answer that I have whipped up a pitcher of Pimm’s Cup or perhaps concocted a hand crafted Tom Collins using a limited batch gin. But no, I’m loyal to the box wine. Enjoy your Twilight Zone-a-thon, that sounds delightful! Nightmare at 20,000 Feet is one of my favorite episodes, I…
That is wonderful. Sometimes it just takes time for the family to come around. Too bad you missed out on the chance to to puke on the wife. That would have been so satisfying! I’m starting in on my box wine, my step daughter is on her way over with the 8 month old mini-Zulu. I would like to report that we brought ma…
