Me too. I cannot count the number of meals we sat down to eat in family restaurants and had the server pack them up real fast once the kid looses it. Plus a big tip for all the trouble and mess. Back home, eating out of a styrofoam box, beer from the fridge....so much better for all involved.

Good idea, letting him know in advance can create some anticipation, maybe even a peek at that Dita von Teese bustier. I bet it's beautiful!

My kids are grown. I remember when they were little and I took an occasional night off. It would consist of going to the bar with a book and reading/drinking/smoking blissfully alone. Party on.

UGH, that sort of thing has happened to me, I know how you feel. I actually got laughed at once by an ex who told me I looked like a Christmas tree which in all fairness maybe I did. These days I'm with a much more fun partner who appreciates a bit of role play and costumes. Give it a couple of weeks. I do think not

Chicken salad is easy and you don't have to eat it in sandwich form. We take leftover chicken and mix with mayo, chopped celery, pickle relish and chopped up eggs. Salt, pepper, some curry powder to taste, but really you can play with it if you don't care for those ingredients. We pile it over some fresh greens and

Great movie, I've watched a bunch of times and even have the soundtrack. Sounds like a nice evening!

Mother Nature is telling you to stay home. So am I. But I'm an introvert so option 2 sounds perfect in any weather.

I agree with the therapy route. I became so overwhelmed by anxiety on the highway it was affecting my life. I learned EFT and it fixed me. I rarely have a problem anymore but when I do I practice the tapping technique and it gets me through.

I developed a crippling driving phobia after years of driving. I started having panic attacks while driving on the freeway, would have to pull off and take the back roads. I ended up going to a therapist. She offered what is called EFT. If I had known what it was before I went I wouldn't have gone cause it sounds

Probably this will stay gray but I want to share the story of my first ever waitress experience. I was 16, working at "Mexican" restaurant in Memphis. The very first table on my very first shift was a large party. This family owned a car dealership and were well known due to their popular TV ads so I was nervous. They

Great story, I can just picture Peter Falk shrugging!

One of life's greatest pleasures is drinking alone.

Thank you for confirming what my experience has proven. Not gonna lie, sometimes in weakness I've bought products that claim to restore my saggy wrinkled face to it's pristine 20 year old condition. But I always come back to Cetaphil and the cheap CVS apricot scrub. I do use the Alpha Beta Peel by Dr Dennis

Yup. My hair stylist says it's either bangs or Botox. I chose the former.

Relax thy cringe, madame, "rap songs" ARE art. Just not art that you like.

You got it going on! And I highly recommend going to the ASL club. Sign Language is amazing on so many levels, I learned it years ago and like EmpressConstancepants says, everyone should. Walk into that club on your muscular legs already!

Wow.

Good lord. Old people. I love 'em but MAN. When I was a kid I wasn't allowed to have any Black friends over to our home, The excuse being " what would people think?" They grew up in a different world so I guess we gotta cut them some slack but that being said....they'll be dead soon. At least your mom stood up to

Yeah...my 90 year old mom was telling me the other day that Indians should stop whining about the Redskins cause back in HER day at junior college (1938), they had not one but TWO Indians on the coaching staff of the football team "and we just loved our Indians"! Once I would have taken her to task over such a

Mark, I want you to know that I tucked into bed with my computer this afternoon due to feeling a bit..."under the weather". You posts ranging from horrifying to hilarious to heartbreaking have gotten me through the day. I really appreciate you.
