“states largest-ever wildfire”
I drove a tow truck as a side hustle for AAA back in the day and from the looks of it, she is lucky the car didn’t kill her if she had to stop quickly in route since it wasn’t strapped down AT ALL. The way I was taught - sure you can apply the vehicle’s parking brake but you better not rely solely on that. We had to…
So... Lingo?
FF7Remake is being made by the kingdom hearts team and using unreal engine 5.
Its not unexpected — the Pandemic is going to have a ripple effect through various industries and stages of development some of which we’re only now seeing the result of. Yeah it sucks but I mean that’s the reality of the moment and you can’t fault anyone for it.
As I see it, it’s still 100% the Land Rover’s fault. They shouldn’t have gunned the gas when turning into the bend. Rather, they should have slowed down by braking and turned to clear the Yaris. Never expect the car in front of you will start moving to give you enough room to turn either. Also, even while turning, the…
The Yaris was on the brakes for 3-4 seconds before the Land Rover hit it. The Land Rover driver wasn’t remotely paying attention to anything going on around them. It’s 100% their fault, not 85%.
I strongly suspect you got one that was very well abused by someone before you. Fusions are altogether decent cars. The ones I’ve driven (three so far) drive far nicer than your description, especially regarding the steering and response to bumps in the road.
Yes, both, the ones panicked just to panic (like the Lysol and Charmin stockpilers in 2020) are making it really hard for the actually need a car crowd (if mine were wrecked I’d be screwed getting to the hospital for work as the public transit here is almost non-existent plus goes nowhere near my home). What I would…
Perhaps, but when you NEED a car (old one is irreparable, lease is up, crash, etc), waiting is a difficult proposition. Do you buy something you don’t really want at today’s inflated prices and risk losing a lot in a few years when you sell? Do you try to cough up $4k for that new engine on a car worth less than that,…
Battletech shoutout! I was in the original Kickstarter for that game, and still playing it today thanks to mods. It’s my go-to no thinking game, and last I checked I was over 6000 hours in.
I agree with you on all that. Also, I’m pretty sure the buyer thought he had agreed to a price ahead of time.
If you live in a jurisdiction where the vendor can print out a form with a price and get you to sign it, then the vendor later says “lol nope, we increased the cost, and since the new costs aren’t on the form you signed, you don’t have any consumer rights”, then maybe that jurisdiction needs better consumer-protection…
He had it in writing, but the dealership intentionally didn’;t sign it so that they don’t have to live up to it. Dealerships are bad. All of them. The car buying process is bad. THe people who post their “great car buying” experiences only call it great compared to other car purchases. If you compared that to…
See, and that’s the kind of legal distinction people are complaining about. The dealer ordered the vehicle on behalf of the customer. One could reasonably believe the process goes “Order vehicle, vehicle arrives, customer inspects and pays for vehicle”. But, that process misses the step where after the vehicle…
Nah, screw that.
Let’s be honest here, he had a bit more than just a verbal agreement. He had a signed order agreement, which yes, doesn’t have final sale price. But that’s the problem. It’s entirely reasonable for a person to think that the price listed there is the final sale price.
He did have it in writing. The problem was the dealership employee screwed him over by omitting the fact that what they both signed was simply an acknowledgement of the reservation, rather than a contract that forbid alteration of the final sales price.
