No: 'Record of Lodoss War' is eminently skippable. Not worth your time. A plodding anime rehash of Lord of the Rings with no surprises whatsoever.

Excelsior to you, sir or madam.

You're right in this case. But you can't blame me for bootstrapping from experience. See for example the sausage-of-ignorance factory that is the comment thread on THIS Kotaku post:

So in a single podcast, I lost respect for BOTH the Gabe/Tycho AND Jonathan Holmes/Jim Sterling pairings.

Third-to-the-last fleet: Clearly designed and piloted by this species here.

(EDIT: Deleted for doublepost)

I always liked the Oberth design from Star Trek. Yes, I know it's only a science ship. Still, handsome lines. Plus, I prefer interacting with small groups. As a new Ensign, I just know I'd feel more comfortable on a 50-person Oberth than on a 300-person Galaxy-class.

Ship 6: Appears to be an Alliance Pugfighter.

Most people? Most right-thinking people perhaps. But I swear any time things here or elsewhere (but here especially, which irks me because I come to Kotaku to AVOID most anything even remotely political or socially aware) turn to birth rates, things get very stupid, very fast.

Really? Not even that one female Jedi who is supposed to come across as being all good-hearted but who, to me, comes across very much as a smiley-aggressive evangelical Christian lady. I.e. "I hope one day you're able to get over being so angry at yourself" she says to the non-Jedi woman whose Jedi sister received

I do not believe you.

Why so late? I have an essay I wrote for school about my own lack of belief. I was 8 at the time.

How about the failure-pile-in-a-sadness-bowl that was "Outbound Flight"? Like, geeze, what happened, Timothy Zahn?
