I appreciate the attempt to bring Peanuts to a modern audience, but for me, animated Peanuts is about so much more than just the characters, it’s the Vince Guaraldi score / scene background music. It’s the 2D set pieces. It’s the kinda stilted way they all talked. All of that is Peanuts to me. Charlie Brown saying

Forbidden Island and Forbidden Desert immediately spring to mind, as does Pandemic.

The main problem with the movies is that he isn’t competent. In the show Kirk is supremely competent, several times they show that he can do every job on that ship, NuKirk can’t do anything but use his authority and so he’s a much less likable captain.

What the fuck is this shit?

I love Liv.

You know, I had a good time with it. Far better than Rise and Salvation. It felt like it belonged with 1 and 2, even if it would be the weakest of those three to me.

Exactly. Wayne Pygram certainly looked the part and I know he’s got the sci-fi bonafides/acting chops to do justice to Tarkin.

The make-up on Wayne Pygram was very good.

KHAAAAAAAAAAAANNN!!!

This scene made no sense in Into Darkness, mostly because there was absolutely no reason for the Enterprise to be underwater on that planet other then to blatantly violate the Prime Directive. The Enterprise could have just stayed in orbit and then beamed Kirk, McCoy, and Spock off the planet when they were done.

Do not mock the old EU.

Disagree, the first three movies are about Andy’s toys; its lucky there are any female characters at all given the contents of the average young boy’s bedroom. By the time the shorts come around, they are Bonnie’s toys, and the there are leading female protagonists. Trying to shoehorn girl characters into a story

But Mr. Der, she didn’t make a mistake. You did. She used a perfectly acceptable scientific term that has been in use for decades. All you had to do was open a dictionary, or Google.
