The title was the majority of the reason I watched it. And I had a great time, because it delivered exactly what I wanted from a movie with that title. Do not understand the hate.

I enjoyed the hell out of COWBOYS & ALIENS. Sure as hell made more sense , and possessed more internal logic than anything Chris Nolan or Zack Snyder crap out on a near annual basis.
Whenever I hear anyone complain about the title Cowboys and Aliens, all I can think of is that this person probably kicks cute puppies and knocks ice cream cones out of the hands of small children. The title fits perfectly with the story’s subject matter and is funny to boot!
Oh, yeah, no clue there. T2 never addressed it either but maybe we are to assume that the surface of the mimetic poly-alloy can reconfigure to shield the metal core enough that the time displacement field doesn’t reject it?
They did do that in T3, essentially. The T-X was a robot skeleton with liquid metal skin coating, and her arms had fold-out weapons including a plasma cannon.
You really don’t need to watch TOS. Wrath of Khan, Search for Spock, Voyage Home and Undiscovered Country represent a truly fantastic story arc that easily stands on its own, with a very different style not only to TOS but arguably to all the other Star Trek films and franchises. With Wrath of Khan, rather than…
a case can be made that it is the best ST:TNG movie...
I really wish they had incorporated a call-back or something to the Sarah Connor Chronicles. I would love it if Shirley Manson or Summer Glau ended up being the mastermind behind all the timey-wimey craziness, but that’s probably too much to ask.
He was also involved in Battlestar Galactica both as narrator in the opening sequence.
This deleted scenes montage, which I produced (not “YouTuber Uchuu Daisakusen,”) was included in the 2007 four and five disc 25th Anniversary sets, and then again in 2012 in the 30th Anniversary set. I’m glad it’s getting renewed interest, but it was officially released nearly 8 years ago.
Please correct this article. This is simply a rip of the deleted scenes from the 2007 dvd release. Why are you giving someone credit for creating something they stole?
Youtuber managed to make? Isn’t this just the entire added bonus on the blu-ray, with all of the deleted and alternate takes? They presented all of them in chronological order.
I always just treat SCC as the third movie.
Here’s one of the few times, I can recommend Star Trek for it’s simplicity. Had a long, tumultuous run? Need to bring in a fresh audience? well then don’t worry. Simply add a “B, “C” “D” “E” to the ship, toss your ship into the Delta Quadrant or better yet, follow a stationary space station. So long as there are brave…
I figured it was partially due to her fear that the sniper brain was controlling her, and that her decisions weren’t entirely her own. Given Liv’s history with making bad choices under the influence of brains, it makes sense that she’d stop for a moment of introspection on the rooftop and think “wait a second, holy…
So you’re telling me that Lowell wasn’t killed when he was shot point blank in the face this week? Oh, thanks for that, now it won’t surprise me when he’s alive next week.
There are some scale issues. I think the Enterprise would be a little big for the trench run, and it has always felt bigger than the docking bay of a Star Destroyer. Other than that, kind of cool.
You have no idea how much I agree. I enjoy the Wednesday recaps of Agents of SHIELD and Flash so much that it saddens me iZombie doesn’t have one. iZombie is a great show and someone on the io9 team should write up recaps.
No offense Katharine but maybe if you guys recapped it regularly here at io9, might get more excitement going. Love the show too, just amazed no recaps of it.
Screw you for pirating. If you won’t pay the price of a movie ticket once a month for HBO and access to all their commercial free programming you’re a dick. HBO is worth it, unlike HULU.
