When the Doctor said they’d done this multiple times in the past, there are a few possibilities.

Well, actually, two Number Twos showed up twice. The same Number Two was in the episodes The General and A, B, and C. But the one you’re thinking of is the only one to be there thrice, with The Chimes of Big Ben, Once Upon a Time, and Fallout.
I loved the version on BBC America last weekend. Stephen Fry was also great as one of the narrators. And it’s always fun to see the stage version, and the differences to the film. (What? Brad actually doesn’t get most of his songs cut? And Rocky can speak outside of songs? Awesome!)
Star Trekin' Across the Universe
The thing I most remember about that reboot was being really amused that two of Captain Kirk’s greatest enemies both played Mr. Roarke. (I know some people may debate if Dr. Soran can count as one of Kirk’s greatest enemies, but there was no actor who played the bridge, so I’ll have to give credit to McDowell by…
Episodes like these make me wish Toby Whithouse became the showrunner.
Prentiss was not first on the list, as the Doctor’s “ghost” was reciting names in the order people died from his point of view. So anyone who died in the last episode came before Prentiss.
Never saw that before - totally awesome. Is that “canon” or just fan-fic?
Because... none of the New Who companions have died.
“Look kids he’s not old, look how cool he is with his guitar!”

Eh, I’d like to think Moffat would be nice enough, though, not to end a series on a cliffhanger like “Did you miss me?” without already having another series confirmed, though. A cliffhanger of Sherlock on an airplane leaving for an “exile” he is not expected to return from? Maybe. But that plane turning around…
I was actually rather pleasantly surprised to enjoy the Robert Downey Jr. films... but I enjoy Sherlock much more, and so this special looks to be a nice treat.
But they are doing a series four! The special just comes between series three and series four, and is likely not to be canon to the series proper.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. I’m looking forward to the new movies. I hope to enjoy them. But unless they are literally the best thing since sliced bread (and I am not one to throw around the word “literally” lightly) then this shall remain my person canon:
To be fair to Colonel O’Niell O’Niel, Anderson was not the only person to play that role.
This is a great continuity nod right here, getting William Sadler in to reprise President Ellis from Iron Man 3.
This is very similar to my own feelings. I dunno, I certainly hope the film is good and wish success upon it, but something about it just doesn’t feel right to me. Maybe it is the modern music as opposed to a classical jazz score.
Eh, all I know is that when they left, I was more sorry to see Rory leave then I was Amy.
Well, I guess many people will be happy since Clara has a lot of haters. I’m sure she has just as many if not more supporters, but the haters tend to be a more vocal bunch. I bet it will take only ten minutes into the next companion’s first episode before the internet is full of people complaining that she or he is…
