Ah, but Magneto was trying to save Kennedy... Or so he claimed. Given how well he manipulated the bullet that shot Mystique, after she'd not only gone out of a window and was in a freefall, but was also of his line of sight... Somehow I'm not sure if Magneto's claims there can be taken at face value.

Even as someone who is not at all into sports, I found this was an enjoyable read. Thanks for sharing it!

This is interesting... Let me know when there is a website or something to which users can upload photos to see how the computers would caption it! I'd love to see what it comes up with for some things the internet at large could toss at it.

All I know is that I post, if not frequently, often enough that I would say it is not unheard of me to do so. And when I do, I try to make sure I am contributing something to the conversation...

So basically... you're a patsy?

And suddenly, there are tons of approved comments...

My favorite theory is the one that says Kennedy actually survived the attempt, but then his reputation was tarnished as his various foibles came out while he was still in office. Thus, history did not play out as it should and things went rather to pot. And so, to fix it, Kennedy himself was brought back in time so

Only if they are unaware of each other would I share your "Whaaaaaaat?" sentiment. But, while more of a monogamy fan, polyamory works for some people. I've had friends in polyamorous relationships. And if it works for them and they're not hurting anyone else, more power to 'em.

I don't mind a good redemption arc, really. But sometimes a character is just too far gone, or has wronged the "good" characters too deeply, for such an arc to be conceivably believable. I feel Ward is such a character. If they do redeem him, and if the writing along the way is amazing, maybe I'll come around. But, as

Been a while since I saw either Ace Ventura movie, so I hadn't remembered this was a thing. Sadly, looking at it now, all I can think is, "Okay, I know that movie probably didn't have the most huge budget in the world, but seriously? They couldn't have tried a tiny bit harder to hide the seams on that fake rhino?"

Well, that much is definitely true. They pretty much had (most) of the script (I think the ending still needed work). The look of the film was partially established thanks to work that had gone into Phase II. And of course, he didn't have much say over casting as almost all of the primary rolls were already filled —

I didn't wish to imply I listed every change... Yes, they re-did the matte for Starfleet HQ. (And the original series shuttle was a nice touch.) And yes, they re-did out of the window in the Officers Lounge, which is where Kirk, Spock, and McCoy have their chat, not the Rec Room. (Although the Rec Room did get a new

Even if the murder of his parents and brother were faked, which I seriously doubt, the man is still an evil slime ball, and he still killed Ward, and Koenig, and who knows how many SHIELD agents when he helped Garret break into that facility that one time, and the four guards when he was being transferred from SHIELD

He still had a decent enough budget, I think... but it is true that all of the money spent on developing the Phase II television series that never came to be was folded into the film's budget, which certainly bit into the eventual profits of the film!

I would not say it is at all "mostly new" effects shots, at all. I'd say it is at most 50/50. I mean, everything with the Klingon vessels, Epsilon 9, most of the work with V'Ger's cloud, almost all of the shots of V'Ger's ship itself, everything with the orbital office complex, the travel pod, and the Enterprise in

And with B5, at least, re-doing all of the effects actually fits in with the original intent! They filmed it in Super 35 to allow for a 16x9 widescreen format, but only did the effects work in the 4x3 aspect ratio that was standard at the time. They assumed that as technology improved, it would be cheaper and easier

Indeed. Flannel or silk (depending on the temperature) is the way to go for PJs!

ESPN's statement would hold a lot more weight if it elaborated upon what the reason was then. Not following his account, has there been anything else on it recently that could be taken as in any way objectionable to ESPN's interests?

I don't follow sports... but here is my question. Is the Twitter account Keith Law is using a business one provided by ESPN, or a personal one? (And if Law only has one that he uses for both, why would anyone, who might need a separation of business and personal interests, do that?)
