Yeah, I couldn't do it. That infant stage is so fleeting...why would you want to miss it? Although, I do understand it is also super stressful (I have two kids who are about 18 months apart in age...I get it)...but I still couldn't just up and leave my baby in the states while I fluttered around Paris in horrible…
I did think it was really strange for Kim to go off to Paris without her baby. Why couldn't the nanny come along and stay in a separate room with the kiddo? The only reason I could come up with is that the baby doesn't have her passport. I'm sure Kim's baby was well-cared for in the states, but it just seemed…
I'd have that 'friend' go to this link and click on the 'What's the harm?' page.
It's unfortunate that many people do not understand that, Zeetal. :(
But what if her focus area is science? Mine is mathematics, so that clearly makes me Newton.
'Cuz an MS in Education is totally the same as an MD or DO. ;)
He was such a bright little guy, too. At 18 months old (shortly before he got sick), he was already speaking in 3-4 word sentences...fun and playful. It hurts my heart to see him now struggling to breathe and play as best he can and to know it could have been prevented. He watches from the porch window everyday as…
The sad thing is that it will take a mass outbreak of a polio or German measles to nip this insanity in the bud.
I think un-vaxxed kids should be somehow marked so I know who the crazy nutbags are and so my kids can stay the hell away from them.
I also have a MS in Education. You're an embarrassment to our profession.
My youngest son was fully vaccinated against whooping cough and he caught the disease from a playmate that I did not know was the child of anti-vaxxers. Because he was fully vaccinated, we were in the ER for about 8 hours with oxygen support and hydration/meds via IV. We were sent home with some meds and O2 and the…
If you want each guest to pay a certain amount of your wedding, you should have a cover charge. Oh, and be ready to lose all your friends because you're a douche if you expect gifts.
I think a potluck wedding sounds pretty awesome. I'd think you'd need to have some coordination on what everyone is bringing, though, so you'd have enough for everyone as well as some variety.
NO. JUST SAY NO.
I was 'Meh' on the whole thing.
It can be different for everyone, but mostly you're PPD is you are having thoughts of (or plans to) harm yourself, your baby or others. It is different than baby blues, which is where you are completely overwhelmed by motherhood, but can still function for the most part. Baby blues passes after 6-8 weeks.
Colorectal and all digestive cancers are especially terrible. They often aren't caught in time, are fast moving and have a near 100% 5-year death rate.
Yes, yes I do.
Yes, the "Go Red for Women" campaign is not nearly as successful as this pink madness. And heart disease/stroke are the number 1 killers of women.
