I was meeting up with a few friends of mine at Streegas on the waterfront, and I cheekily decided to valet the Dingo. It’s a stick, but after speaking with the Nigerian kid running the keys, he knew this truck pretty well already. Came back fine after dinner, and even complemented me on how much fun it was to drive. I

Bo Burnham! Haven't seen him in years. Absolute riot!

If I were to hazard a guess, the massive monthly payments, plus operating costs of ownership of those HD trucks, necessitates living with mom and borrowing her Honda status. It’s just like having a fancy super car, but living in mom’s basement.

I hope they include, in those operation cost figures, the cost of replacing the turbos periodically with every refill of the cat piss tank. Talk about downtime!

I had that same piece of garbage in my Jetta, blocking the center stack when deployed. The antithesis of that is my MPV. Cup holders galore, and can actually hold a large dunks ice coffee. Now, heated and cooled cup holders may be the cat’s meow, but beggars can't be choosers.

Stepside, everything stepside.

Agreed. What the hell is the point of sending a brick of a rig through the Nurburgring? We beat physics again, lads, but she’s a shitty Land Rover.

This was the boom era in Japan, where manufacturing was putting on a clinic and authors of lean production cut their methods. Toyota could do no wrong, and built icons, building the brand equity that we realize today. Arguably, the cars are an evolution today, but these were their golden years.

This must have put these owners in shear terror! Heads are gonna roll!

I really thought most Aussie families owned a 70 series Land Cruiser, or Patrol equivalent. Why buy anything else?

That made me think. I wonder how many people married a significant other so they could either 1) own a sweet ride or 2) relieve them of a terrible one. I bet it's more often than I think.

Are you saying he was in for a penny, in for a pound?

And this is progress?

My MPV has the column shifter. Never had a problem picking a position. The electrical knob is a fad, just like push button shifters back in 60's vintage Chryslers.

Would you baby me? I’d baby me. I’d baby me SO HARD!!

My buddy has a Tahoe, roughly about 8 years old, and he’s about the only person I’ve ever seen with one of these rigs that absolutely uses the bejeezus out of it. It hauls the side-by in the toy trailer, pulls the garbage hauling trailer, the roof racks are constantly holding surfboards, the kiteboard gear is always

Wish I had a picture of it, but I was at Fort Carson for a driver’s training gig, and one of our guys got a 6x6 stuck in a mud hole that was as big as Lil Rhody. Took a much larger rig to pull it out, and we relenquished the driving privilege from our guy.

My buddy had one on his Regal with the Presidential package. We all nicknamed it, “Toupee Edition”.

It’s like sitting on James May!

Obligatory
