The Tesla culture reminds me of nerds trying too hard. They have never had the pleasure of slinging mulch, run equipment, nor built anything aside from their own ego. The idiotic Tesla Cybertruck is their chariot, and whoopie cushion mode their chant.
For those same reasons are why I wish GM would still produce the GMT355 trucks. Those Atlas engines have been as reliable as any modern interpretation of a 22RE, perhaps more so, and they can be had for a song. I’ve owned two so far, and the killer has been frame rot. But, for getting the job done, having plentiful…
Amen, brother. Same kind of awful recovery from a bad motorcycle crash, especially coming off the morphine. Took months of PT to walk and use my wrists again, and I’m forever grateful to have my functionality back, even if it’s not the same. But, there’s nothing like looking back, and knowing that you are a tough sob…
Strange that Mitsu can do so well in the medium duty truck market with the Fuso brand, yet crater when it comes to cars and light trucks. It seems they’ve forgotten what sells in any economy: affordable transportation. They need to forego looking to past brand equity and rose colored glasses, and concentrate on what…
Nope, not gonna get it here. People already are used to having cars with over 200hp aren’t going to buy another rectangle that barely cracks the century mark. Plus, at 20 grand, there are better choices. Next.
Overbuying is a symptom of the broken state of the middle class. This is mostly apparent with housing purchases, and lenders are to blame for the situation. Cheap money, with low interest rates, make the temptation to afford big ticket items that are clearly out of budget for the middle class. The lenders have…
FJ70 pickup. Or a bunch of TownAce pickups.
What about the smell-u-later? It measures the content of methane in the cockpit, and throws a chime when it’s above a noxious level of stink, thus alerting occupants to blow the hatches.
Not going to tell you that it was a good idea, but this is one of my trucks back in my early to mid 20's. I’ve had a lot of cars and trucks before and since, and I wouldn’t suggest anything per se. They’re all tools for the job; don’t use a hammer when you need pliers. Where you are in your life will dictate what you…
All except interstate freeways, where speed limits ban LSV travel. Could wind up the same way, where autonomous rigs are only allowed for freeway travel, while highways and secondary roads let anyone on.
She doesn’t look like much, but she’s got it where it counts.
I called yesterday when it broke on WBZ, and told the officer that it is a 1998-2002 Honda Accord DX sedan. It’s hard to see, but there is a back door cut in the pic. The camera is wicked low resolution, so it was truncating the shot, making it look like a coupe. Hope they nab that scumbag!
That’s Pebble Beach patina right there! Roll it across at Mecum and profit!
Bring back snowflake wheels!
I’d be interested to hear Tom McParland chime in on this subscription service. Could be a good read for those seriously considering this over a purchase or lease.
Holy Christmas Christ, that man must be part Canook! You sure he’s not on the Red Green show? Why not just rob the engine and seats out of the Liberty and install them into a more together Scrambler, or even make your own CJ10 with that setup? Seems like a recipe for a bunch of work and zero gain. Fabbing a metal…
I had just put new meaty tires on my 98 Frontier, and decided that the giant parking lot in front of TJ Maxx was the proving ground. At the same time of testing, I was being chased by the loader clearing the lot. This fortunately didn’t end terrible for me, but I won’t be doing that anytime soon.
