We had to run out of people dumb enough to take on a 1k car payment at some point.

Awesome. Just let us know when ADM goes away and dealers start actually dealing again.

I’ve been losing interest again in F1, and this isn’t helping.  Meanwhile the Indy race in Toronto yesterday was excellent.  Watching Grosjean crash just doesn’t get old.

F1 would like more teams. The F1 teams don’t want more teams because it will dilute the revenue

God almighty after all these years the wheels still look like shit to me. It’s the one thing on it I just have never warmed up to with age.

Sorry, the actual production version looks better. The headlights on the Pininfarina design are awful.

same here, and the lack of the handbrake is a dealbreaker for me as well. Looks like we’re the lucky ones to own the last good GTI as MK9 is rumored to be all electric.

Especially after the driver plows into a bridge abutment.

I fully agree. Plus the MK8 cars have other cost cuts everywhere, including a cheap hood prop rod (no more gas strut), unlined door pockets, cheaper interior plastics and seats and so on. I’ve owned 4 consecutive new GTIs; as things currently stand, my 2018 Autobahn 6 speed manual will be my last GTI and my last VW

unlit HAPTIC sliders. really?!?!

“Yeah, no shit.”

It’s fine, being older is all the rage for presidential candidates these days. And to paraphrase his character in Dazed and Confused: “That’s what I love about these voters, man. I get older, they stay the same age.”

These things start at 70K$, why not just spend 10K on a civic that will also fit the kids and do Costco runs and put that 60K$ into a 911?

I agree Vegas is also a show pony of a race with no practicality, but at least it’s at a venue with tons of things to do around the track. Now admittedly those things are 99% the same, but still, it’s no parking lot. And it’s at night. Miami from Day 1 felt like a money grab on a stupid track in a stupid location with

4th Gear: Will VinFast hurry up and file their IPO so I can short that dog to zero, please?

I still don’t understand the purpose behind plastic cladding around the wheel arches. I think most cars would look fine with the metal arches with a little cladding like the brake vents.

I couldn’t disagree more. I barely need to look at the interface with a Mazda wheel. Meanwhile a minor bump in the road has me pressing some random button on a touch screen and I’m lost... but to each their own...

May work well but those tesla 3 single screens looks SO cheap. (This article is on “design” after all.) Telsa 3 is THE definition of lazily slapping a big screen in front of you. (Except its not even actually in front of you since it’s a cost saving measure that’s actually the infotainment screen.)

The entire subaru community gave a gigantic collective “WTF?” When the 22 wrx was revealed. Granted.. we tend to do that for EVERY release of it, but really? Plastic cladding? Is this a fucking crosstrek?

Damn I wish manufacturers would skip their next design focus group and use this list.
