Almost certainly, nobody uses that sort of threaded-on oil cap anymore, everything is quarter or half turn. This one is like FIVE.

I’m going to get shouted down, but this is just a company using performance management processes to get rid of low performers. 500 employees out of a population is 0.6%. Not newsworthy at all.

You are correct, but an important distinction here is that the age ranges stated above are 18-46 and 18-35. I don’t think any 18 year olds are buying a new Integra at $35-40k anyways, but someone in their 30s will. If anything, the editorialism in the article is off by relating this to Gen Z instead of to millennials.

We also used to joke that manual transmissions were anti-theft devices, but I don’t think it’s a joke anymore... they really are!

Resident Zoomer here and a benefit at least for me is its a lot easier to loan someone a car when it is a manual. When manuals are essentially only for enthusiasts who actively seek them out; you can weed out people who you wouldn’t want to borrow your car. The manual pickup has gotten me out of several “hey can I

And there’re some drivers, who are just plain bad and get into some random sh** everytime they go outside.

Full self driving is just not going to happen. The only way it would be close to working is if every road were designed with built in communication, sensors, and transmitters. All roads were shielded from the elements. Humans outside of cars could not access said road. and every car communicated directly with all cars

I just dump the tub over the fence into my neighbor’s yard and spray with water to disperse. When he wonders why there’s a 10x10 foot area of brown grass I suggest it’s an ethnic conspiracy. Works every time.

Now let’s see him pour it that way with a 5 qt jug. Also, other than adding a quart, who uses 1 qt jugs unless you have an oddly low oil capacity car? Even my wife’s car is like 4.2qt so I save the .8 qt and after 4 oil changes I get a free one!

Try it with a used bottle filled with water and you’ll immediately notice the difference in control you have

What?! You’re saying you’re not meant use that tiny little hole on the side with the long stick thing in it?!...!

RX7 owner: I did that since the car was brand new.

I found the science lab trick works outside the science lab. In lab you use a stirring stick on the edge of a beaker to prevent splashing.

Well, once upon a time I’d just add a quart at a time and let the “changing” take care of itself.

Did you time travel from the 50's?

This post needs the Knallerfrauen gif.

I’ve never heard of an engine bay being too cramped to fill it with oil easily...

One thing that’s worth mentioning in the 996 interior’s favor is that it’s incredibly easy and straightforward to take apart and put back together. I haven’t run across anything yet that requires a special tool, which is definitely not the case for the 991.

Think of another 850. Made by Germans.

Not sure how a 16" rim and tire from a Volvo weigh more than an 18x10 wheel with a big tire on it, but hey, you do you.
