A running E39 540i with a manual transmission that looks like an M5 in 8.5/10 shape for 6k?

Where do you live, downtown NYC? 93 has been mid $3 for a while here in Texas.

That doesn’t mean they are doing anything about it though. A year or so back I looked up the new plants coming online in CA and for every one that was going to come online they were removing another one. We will not have capacity for all these EVs.  The poor are gonna get F’d hard with higher electricity rates and no

If you’re not already comfortable with home electrical work, running a new 230V circuit through walls and finished areas, that’s going to be under load while you’re asleep, that involves modifying the panel and the potential code implications that come with that, feels like possibly the worst place to start.

If there’s one thing history has demonstrated, it’s that trusting people not to be morons ends very badly for everyone involved.

The series hybrid design for the Volt is superior to any ‘pure’ battery EV.  It is a design that can actually pay for itself and save people money so long as the road taxes aren’t applied to home charging. Especially with how cheap they were selling for on the used market.

The answer is you are screwed. They will tell you that 2035 just means you cant have a new gas powered car but it will just be a countdown till there with increasing gas prices and repairs till you need to get something else. Start saving for a house or move to a place with a charger. Or get ready to take the bus.

Mercedes W123, especially a diesel.

5th Gear: More so than the costs of charging, what continues to fascinate me is how we continue to not have a serious conversation about the real elephant in the room for home EV charging; it’s tailoring itself to people that just own homes and have the capacity to pay to have electricians install home charging setups

If you can stop them rusting the Suzuki Ignis Sport will be around until the heat death of the universe.

Isn’t this basically the 4Loko story?

If you had read it, you would see that I’m not saying Acura needs to run the engine development, that can stay with Red Bull Powertrains as is planned. This would be an engine naming sponsorship deal, similar to, as mentioned above, Infiniti or TAG Heuer or Aston Martin, none of which actually built Red Bull’s

Managed to stay away all year

No not really. When I had stock brakes, I had about a dozen track days on a single set of rotors using very aggressive DTC60 pads (which are known to kill rotors). the rotors had plenty of life on them before installing the BBK I have now, which hasn’t had any issues either. Something is off on your end if you’re

So unless you’re wealthy, you can’t question the taste of wealthy people’s decisions?  That’s pretty snobby.  The wheels are terrible.

Those hideous things really stand out...

Oh my, the NSX had a mechanical failure? What a death trap!

He should have upgraded the stock wheels to better stock wheels if anything. Those aftermarket wheels... oufffffffff.

400,000 miles with those wheels?

I know you’re well intentioned here, but graduated licensing for newbies and regular re-testing should be implemented for ALL drivers. Not tied in any way to vehicle type. The story above just proved the fact. It wasn’t the owner driving.
