Like most other “green” companies, they’re full of it.

Fair, but I guess their way of doing it wasn’t so heavy handed and blatant. Or agenda laden. (also admit I’m not familiar with Setright)
Not holding my breath, given that their fastest car now barely tops 150.
“You could also see Aston putting hybrid or electric powertrains in its sports cars, which haven’t been selling all that well in recent years anyway.”
I’ve been saying that all year. The resemblance is laughably similar.
mid, and even moreso rear, engine cars are fantastic in the snow. Lots of grip. Way more grip than FWD vehicles. However a bit trickier on deceleration.
Does that include the Mustang multiplier?
They’re really not. I’ve got 30+ years of print copies of car magazines that says otherwise.
agreed, leave the political bs out of vehicle reviews. FFS, this is one reason why we read sites like this in the first place. Though anyone still thinking they could avoid being bombarded with political crap on this particular site is severely mistaken.
Is it tone deaf for a company to build a product that will sell in successful numbers? I would say no.
Kind of makes sense given how hostile the European market is becoming towards anything other than appliance-like EVs.
I want my 5 minutes back.
Me Too is endemic at BMW. They love to copy others and have an entry in every part of the auto market, even if they can’t do it well.
“Baked in”, as in the engine isn’t hanging off the front axle (hello Acura). A lot easier to get 50/50 (or come close) with a vehicle designed for RWD with a longitudinal engine.
Remember when we all thought Mustangs were overweight?
The grille has received so much attention. So much so, that people are ignoring the (horrible) return of flame surfacing on the flanks. Just...not good.
You make a strong point. But I’ll take the BMW’s baked in proper weight distribution and engine location over an Acura that needs AWD to make up for bad design. (I know this argument applies to Audi as well...and I feel the same way about them ;-) )
The huge square grille is horrible. You can’t plastic that on the front of a car and flank it with rounded headlamps. Makes it look super cheap and disjointed. Other than that my only visual complaint is the greenhouse. I realize that this car will use the FM platform (same as past Zs) but come on, that greenhouse…
Don’t forget the (arguably) worst - China.
Maybe it would be more impactful for him, and others, to wear tee shirts exposing/publicizing all the injustice that takes place in many of the countries they race in? He could start with the ones where it’s enforced/practiced by the states themselves.
