Most of the styling cues on the Type R are fake and perform no function.  Personally, I think the car is ugly as sin - however I have no problem with the rear wing at all.

I’m right there with you. The 10th gen Civic, in all forms, is to me quite ugly. How a car looks is high on the list for me, so this car is automatically disqualified. I’ve owned Hondas/Acuras continuously for over 20 years, but I just bought a GTI and put up my Integra GS-R for sale.  Nothing Honda currently makes

Why is a car website talking about an airplane builder anyway?

You know how I know Formula E is a joke?

Adding AWD to a car that doesn’t need it makes no sense.

Agreed.  I’m 6'2" and that’s about 2 inches too tall for the S2000 I owned.  Especially when you throw on a helmet.

Plenty of people have dropped K20 and K24 engines into the S2000.  It’s not hard to adapt them to a longitudinal layout.  CTR’s engine would be the same I’d imagine.

His comment is 9/10, because he was doing so well up to thinking they still have a soul.

And part of the reason for that (or at least I like to think so) is because the S2000 was still sold in other parts of the world after 2003 with the F20C 2.0 liter engine.  Most importantly, Japan.

“So you could argue that Porsche is just being careful that its first EV doesn’t become well known for having too many problems. Porsche would rather uphold a reliable reputation than risk it pushing the Taycan’s mechanics to beat the Model S on power, range, and 0 to 60 mph times.”

That’s odd.  Maybe has to do with the area you live in?  Given that well over 50% sold are with manuals.

Automakers’ business models are forever confusing me. On the surface they appear about as idiotic as they can be. It can’t be that simple though.

Nice article, even if pretty obvious. There won’t be EV market majority until a different battery technology takes over, not this current  half baked Li battery crap.

“planet dying”

The technology to make affordable EVs doesn’t yet exist. Not sure how much clear that needs to be stated. And by affordable I mean with a hint of equivalency to an ICE car, not a golf cart with a 60 mile range.

I fail to see how something is possible, when nobody is even profiting yet from the sales of EVs.  Pretty sure they’d build it IF they were profitable.  Even for less than truck money.

Depends how heavy and expensive you want it to be.

That’s because a cheap and affordable EV with any reasonable range distance built with today’s technology is impossible.  Try again in 10 years.

Probably when it doesn’t take 2000 lb of batteries to hold the equivalent of less than 100 lb of gasoline.  Today’s state of the art EV tech is just a bridge gap.

Because that’s like saying that a Mercedes E63 AMG competes with the AMG GT Coupe, or that the Porsche 911 competes with the Panamera.
