Not if it’s stop and go on the interstate, asses to elbows, during rush hour.

Most (if not all) of these technologies, drive me crazy. Thankfully none of my personal vehicles suffer from any of this BS and I only encounter these annoyances when driving rental vehicles.

I crashed into a tire wall at VIR once, and as my car sat there afterwards my brakes set the dry grass on fire. This fire got larger and set my car on fire. Meanwhile, despite visible smoke, the nearest corner worker leisurely walked over. By the time he arrived the (one) fire extinguisher he had wasn’t large enough

It’s amazing to see several automakers seemingly being forced into precarious positions, almost entirely because of government regulations and not customer preferences. Going to be sad to see so many marques disappearing, or selling their souls and leaving nothing recognizable behind..

It’s going to be boring and forgettable.  At this point to expect anything else is ridiculous.

It’s a shame about that German law requiring every new model to be larger than the last...

nimbler”

Seriously.  It’s not like they periodically wax the paint to protect it.  Or even do things like clear off bird poop with any sort of expediency.  They’re far from “brand new” cars after more than a year baking in the elements.

There is nothing the American brands build/sell that I am interested in at their price points, and its been that way ever since I’ve been able to drive. I’ve never owned an American branded or built vehicle.

How did the Enzo sneak into this video?

Isn’t the 4 series conv like 400 lb heavier?

Not to people that refuse to buy RWD coupes that weigh over 3000 lb.

I haven’t been excited about the future of sporty automobiles for a while.  Overburdening government regulations for safety and emissions more or less started killing them as soon as the 21st century started.  More power yes, but fewer choices, uglier designs, and increased driver isolation and disconnect.

So they want to kill off most of their fun vehicles? Really their only connections, at all, to past greatness.

A practical 4 door sedan will outsell a 2 door (and lets not kid ourselves, 2 seat) sports car?  No way, that’s amazing!

I hope they leave the 370Z alone.  It’s not bothering anyone, just leave it alone!

Lifelong Porsche fan here (and currently owner) who has never been particularly impressed, enamored, or interested in the 918.  Not that I could ever afford it, but yeah, not a success in my eyes.

Preach!

Seems curious that Jaguar couldn’t figure out how to make the car lighter (to accept the V12)...and then let TWR release the XJR-15 with precisely that. Also a better looking car IMO. That’s confused me for decades.

When a car is already insanely fast, do you prefer the engine to have a heavenly scream, or for a muffled sound and too much torque for smooth driving?  Easy choice IMO.
