That’d be even worse than the Mustang.
That’d be even worse than the Mustang.
Oh God no. S550 Mustang is far too large. 1000 lb heavier than FD RX7. No no no no no.
Thanks for the correction! TIL...
I’m pretty sure all applications for the S54 engine came with an 8000 rpm redline. Not 7600.
I’m going to need a new DD in the next few years. A Mazda3 hatchback with 6sp manual and AWD would be perfect. Base to mid-level trim, is fine. Premium only trim and auto only AWD? Deal breakers.
Oh I believe it. Especially for 911's. Depresses me a bit though, since I already wrote off the Cayman (no 4 cylinders, thanks). And now the 911's getting ugly and bigger. Oh well, plenty of CPO off lease 991s and 981s around!
I’m 6'2" and go with 170-175s. Anything longer than that and I have trouble in the glades. And 170s definitely require folding down a seat. Of course were I lucky enough to live near the slopes I’d just get a roof rack.
It depends where you live. If it’s somewhere in the great white north, then hell yeah I want the security of AWD + snow tires. If it’s somewhere where it snows fairly often, but isn’t that bad and road clearing is pretty well handled (NY, Illinois, etc), then I would just get snow tires.
I mean I agree somewhat. I wouldn’t consider any Cayman with the 4 banger; but would the 911 - though I think the 992 is a disaster so that opinion may change. But you’re arguing that Porsche is pushing the model out with $20-30k worth of options, whereas the reality is it’s the dealerships. A base Cayman ($55k) is…
Good lord how tall are you?
Uhh, for $50k my SUV better have a nice honking V8 under the hood. Or at least a snail or two. Pass.
Just returned from a ski trip to Canada and I can confirm that Canadians are really nice people!
So? Of course the dealerships won’t order any option-free models. But you’re perfectly able to walk into a dealership and order, from the factory, an option-free 718S for $69,300 (sorry I was off by a few grand).
The majority of Porsches sold are worked over VW/Audi SUVs...that’s really quite sad IMO.
You sure? I don’t know anyone looking forward to the 992. I mean have you seen what it looks like?
Because after a point, who cares how much faster it is? Car’s already fast enough. Not like you can rocket 0-60 in 3 seconds on public roads that often. However, you can rev out the engine and listen to it sing all the time on public roads.
Actually saw a lot of the wagons when I was up in Canada earlier this week.
“fun SUVs”
US is still a larger sports car market than China (and probably Europe too).
Part of the fun is chasing the high revs....
