What a stupid headline. The “haters” hate all the hybrid crap and AWD. Which this race car doesn’t have. Point being, this proves the haters right more than it proves them wrong.

It’s been pretty standard practice of me to only fill up after the fuel light comes on. My fuel pump just recently failed, after 25 years and 327,000 miles. That’s a sample size of one, but it goes against the theme of this article.
I’d be happy with one that looked respectable and didn’t feature HUGE plastic fake air grilles.
Andrew, what tires does this car come with from the factory? Not size, but brand and model.
I can’t live with the styling. I could deal with a profile that doesn’t look like a crossover SUV if it didn’t have 4 huge fake bumper vents visually slapping you in the face. Or vice versa. But not both. And nevermind the hood scoop that’s only function is engine bay “ventilation”.
306 hp from a 2.0 liter turbo four. Remember how that was cool 15 years ago when the US got the Evo? With AWD, no less.
Quote of the week right here!
Takes a real idiot to swerve and flip a truck to avoid a rabbit.
Are you kdding? The GT4 has WAY MORE power than any of the other Cayman variants!
What I can’t stand are the assholes that put their cars far in front of the left turn (lane) stop line, which is staggered back behind the (straight ahead lane) stop line. The line is further back for a reason you shit heads. In the meantime thanks for blocking traffic when cars from the other road make left turns…
I don’t necessarily disagree with you, but redlining your car in 1st or 2nd gear around a parking lot cone course averaging less than 40 mph places a considerably higher thermal load on your engine. So yeah, it actually would make a difference.
yes it can, but the owner’s manual specifically says not to run anything greater than 10% ethanol content.
GEICO is freaking horrible. Worst insurance provider for anyone that actually cares about their car.
LOL wow did she really post online about using E85? That’s definitely a reason to possibly void her warranty. Owner’s manual (at least for my 2013 model) specifically said NOT to use any gasoline with greater than 10% ethanol content (E10).
Amen to that.
Unfortunately autocross competition is TECHNICALLY racing. It’s certainly a timed competitive event. Track events (HPDE’s specifically) are not competitive events and timing by a 3rd party is prohibited at those events. Additionally while on track you are operating the vehicle within the metrics & conditions it was…
OMG man, the point was that the engine bay of the BRZ is actually quite big and roomy. Because, newsflash, IT IS!
What is the world coming to, when a 2.0 liter engine is “too expensive” for a sporty car priced below $25k?
You’re leaving out the part where almost all tracks adhere to the broomstick test for measuring rollbar height. Anyone of average height in the US can’t pass that test while wearing a helmet.
How did my comment go over your head? My whole point was that if someone (aftermarket) can do something as extreme as shoving a V8 under the hood, that finding room for a turbo is child’s play for a manufacturer.
