Basically all anime adaptations these days are just promotions for the original manga/novels and other merchandise. That’s pretty much how the industry has operated for awhile.

Crossbuy would’ve been really nice for a game like this, though given how niche VN’s still are I can see why they might be hesitant to offer what basically amounts to handing out free copies. However, I don’t believe the game is on PS4 yet, though a port is planned. We just got the PS3 and Vita versions yesterday.
Yep, Paca Plus. Sekai Project actually licensed it, and it releasing it in English sometime next year, I think.
No, but it was the same studio that did the animation.
Well, we don’t know if it’s an HD port or just an emulated PS2 classic yet.
To be fair, they actually held an unbirthday party in Alice in Wonderland. I doubt it was a translation at all. They just slapped a quote from the movie on a picture of Alice from the scene in question.
Well, it’s not like they “got rid” of them, they just didn’t try very hard to keep them on their side.
That quote was from Nightmare Before Christmas, right? I’m pretty sure it’s “I am the one hiding under your bed...”
I don’t think I’d recommend the ‘06 Fate before Zero. Studio Deen’s animation pales in comparison to Ufotable’s. I feel it would be a difficult transition. Deen’s anime serves as a much better starting point, since everything else only gets better from there. Watching Fate ‘06 first also addresses one of the biggest…
The Vita is still doing fine in Japan. If they were going to port GG, they would likely do PS3/4/Vita just like with Odin Sphere.
P4G does have an epilogue, an extra dungeon and some extended end-game scenes for maxing the newly-added social links and achieving certain requirements, most of which are weaved into the existing narrative or added on to the end. Nothing quite to the extent of The Answer though, which was basically it’s own…
FES is the updated PS2 version and features a number of new persona, some new social links, costumes, and most notably The Answer, an epilogue starring Aigis.
The first season, yes. But there was a new crossover episode with LWA that premiered last week at Anime Expo. It’s still up in the air on how that will be released.
I’ve had trouble finishing P3 as well as I typically prefer RPG’s on handhelds. I didn’t want to bother with the hampered PSP version either. A Vita port with all content from both FES and P3P would be ideal, but I guess remote play support would be the next best thing (but I don’t think any PS2 games have that yet).
Most of the spinoffs are pretty solid though. P4A was a fun fighting game and PQ was a great Persona take on the Etrian Odyssey formula.
That was how they justified including every single party member. They picked a point in both games where they were all available and ended up stumbling into an alternate world. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the exact point in either game where this happens.
Pan is in the last chapter of the original manga, she’s not a GT-original character. So no, she’s not simply going to disappear.
Oh, I‘m sure FUNi wants it. This is probably just Toei being difficult again, which isn’t anything new.
By itself it’s not a terrible game per se, but it really is the bottom-of-the-barrel for the Suikoden franchise. If you thought Tierkreis was okay, you might enjoy the other games significantly more once you play them.
