The crossdressing sequence is definitely returning based on some comments from Nomura during a recent interview.

For a bit more clarification, characters besides the Avatar can achieve an alternate “A+” rank with other characters of the same sex, instead of “S.” Meaning, based on Nintendo’s comments, the Avatar may be the only unit that can actually marry a same-sex character, with the others simply forming a “strong bond” or

You’re actually going to pass on a game because of the logo on in-game camping equipment? It’s really silly, sure, but to me it feels like such an tiny little detail to get hung up on in a (probably?), lengthy, content-packed RPG.

Yes, but there wasn’t a satisfactory explanation for why the robots had different genders until much later.

I really doubt the simulcast of the TV version has anything to do with whatever is taking them so long to put out the last two OVAs. The TV series just happened to start airing while FUNi was still in the process of releasing the original OVAs.

To be fair though, almost any soundtrack would sound uninspired when compared to the work of Yoko Kanno :P

You could at least glimpse a few of those titles in the little floating boxes at the end of the video. Danganronpa Another Episode is notably absent though.

Sidewalk driving rarely turns out well...

Perhaps I’m just overly optimistic, but I prefer to look at this as though we’re actually getting two new Fire Emblem games at once, which... we basically are.

Comparing a mega-AAA Western franchise like GTA to Fire Emblem is like comparing apples to oranges. You also make it sound like there’s some rule that every sequel needs to be significantly larger than the game that came before, which is nice, but certainly not some requirement.

There’s only two versions of the game in Japan. They just also have a number of special editions/bundles available as well. It’s too early to know if we’ll get something like that in the West.

This is far less egregious than Pokemon though, which are literally the same game with a few details changed.

Because they decided not to package two full games worth of content together? What would you have preferred? That they bundle them but double the price? Because I’m really not seeing any other alternatives here. There’s far less to complain about here than, say, Pokemon, which are literally the same game with a few

Why wouldn’t they? They’ve already said that each version of Fates will have the same amount of content as Awakening. In other words, each version is a full games worth of content.

Where did this news come from? I’ve heard plenty of rumors about this lately, did they finally confirm it?

There are actually going to be three parts, which might as well be their own seasons. S2 Part 1 ended at the conclusion of an arc (covering novels 4-6 IIRC), the next part will start a new arc and adapt the next 3 light novels and presumably end on a somewhat conclusive note as well. Part 3, which airs in January,

You would be waiting a long time. Season 2 will actually have three parts, each adapting roughly three of the remaining light novels. Part 2 starts in July, while Part 3 will be next January and finish off the series. Don’t get too caught up on the “Season 2 Part #” label though, the upcoming continuation in July

Tales of Xillia’s 62-year-old Rowan says hello. But I do know what you mean. Barring a few exceptions, most JRPG characters do tend to be really young.

Presumably, yes. I see no reason why they wouldn’t when the other 2 games had it., but I don’t think it’s been 100% confirmed yet.

The gameplay isn’t anything amazing or groundbreaking, but it’s far from bad.
