There was really no need for Bebop to be on the list itself. As the first few paragraphs state, this is a list for the super-casual anime fan who may have already seen Bebop or some Ghibli movies, but little (or nothing) else.

Those are great titles, but I feel those series are more for people who are already anime fans, not beginners. A lot of their humor relies on familiarity with existing anime tropes.

You would be just fine starting with Brotherhood. It's not a sequel, but rather a 2nd, more faithful adaptation of the original FMA manga.

Significantly, yes. It just starts off okay, but it’s fantastic by the end.

What the heck is this?

You are a friggin’ genius.

And yet, you want us to remain unhappy now that they actual have given us exactly what we wanted by announcing an English release? Better late than never, as far as I’m concerned.

Yeah, this kinda came out of left field. As you said, it basically looks like a brand new, original SMT game with some Fire Emblem sprinkled. Which isn’t a bad thing per se, I think it looks great, but this is definitely not what most people had in mind when this “crossover” was first announced. Of course, there may

Strangely, they actually confirmed awhile back this is a port of the Arcade version. So they *technically* they gave us an upgraded PS3 version, rather than a downgraded PS4 version. Lack of new features and some small quirks aside, it's actually not a bad port overall. It's not too hard getting it to run smoothly

Oddly, it's actually been confirmed that this is a port of the Arcade version. So, technically they gave us an upgraded PS3 version, rather than a downgraded PS4 version. Lack of new features aside, it's actually not a bad port from a technical standpoint. It's not hard getting it to run smoothly even on mid-range PCs

That's not entirely correct. It doesn't have the new skin shader and particle effects, but it does have PS4 shadows.

Supposedly they outsourced it to someone who has little experience with PC games. That's the rumor going around, anyways.

He's just gripping his firearm with both hands. Nothing lewd about... oh.

It's amusing, but that just looks... bad. The problem here is that the 3D boobs are sticking out straight, but the character isn't facing straight, she's at an angle. They would need to use a different 2D image of her to actually make this work.

Honestly, I was kinda disappointed these OVAs ended up just being Char's flashbacks. When it was first announced I was hoping they would be adapting from the beginning of the manga and it would basically serve as a modern-day remake of 0079. I assume the fact that The Origin manga differs from the classic series in a

You can actually buy the imported Collector's Edition through Rightstuf... right now, if you wanted to, and as others have pointed out it is legally available digitally in a bunch of places.

Origin is the only one I recall with this much CG. Even Unicorn only used CG when certain mecha were all glowy and powered up, they were 2D the rest of the time.

Quality rarely equates to popularity. Drrr is a lot more appealing to the average anime fan (especially in Japan) with it's younger cast, modern-day setting, otaku in-humor, etc. Perhaps most importantly, it's also aimed at a teen audience.

I'm not sure how comparable a Japanese-Canadian co-pro TV movie is to a big budget Hollywood film. I'm slightly more optimistic that, should it actually get made, the Robotech film would be way better than G-Savior.
