Something about Sakura struck a chord with me in early Naruto and the later mishandling of her is one of the reasons i feel so bitter about the series today. One of many reasons. Kind of obvious how much a brain Kishimoto's original editor was behind the scenes and how much of a loss to the story his departure was.

ok its my subjective opinion that streaming games is not an artform.

do you just go around these threads accusing folks of no empathy? While telling people to die? maybe you should get another hobby. Seriously.

Not that I like what Nintendo is doing here but streaming video games is not art. The only art getting made here is by the teams making these games.

gamers and nerds have forgotten that these nutjobs aren’t their friends and never where.

Never said that, but it is what it is. Just Just so you understand, it was likely an individual who broke the NDA but it will be an entire organization and the careers of many that pays the consequences. I have worked for a company that had Nintendo as a client and the stakes for keeping their secrets is very high -

my employer concluded some contract work for a nintendo last year - the stakes on the secret keeping for that relationship are so high that if that was my kid i’d send them to live with their crazy, narcissistic aunt up in a little rural wasteland called Salmon Arm.

I think they believe they are deterring folks with retribution but these things keep happening.

well i know it’s going to be buggy, have stiff animation, and repetitive voice acting!

well it’s a good little guy versus the big bad corporation story so framing it as anything else is siding with the evil corporation. i don’t like how nintendo throws its weight around here and i don’t begrudge him his livelihood he’s managed to carve out, but don’t try to tell me you’re somehow essential to the

lol alluding that i might be a Libertarian is perhaps the worst and wrong thing anyone has said about me. It suppose it’s easier to imagine a strawman of what kind of awful person i might be than engage with what i said in good faith within the context that i said it.

I’m talking about the nature of streaming as a career & every post i’ve made orbits that axis. Go run along and play console war somewhere else, adults are talking.

zelda is the context to this discussion, fyi, not nintendo games writ-large. though it’s very rare a nintendo game to fly under the radar.

I think Nintendo games will generate viral sales in whatever media ecosystem happens to exist at the time. Right now that’s with Youtube streaming... Maybe in 20 years they’re getting big hype on dolphin telepathy streams or something. The point is they have a long standing, hugh quality popular product and the

the context of what i was responding to was quoted in my post - i posted on what i thought about the nature of streaming as a form of ‘content creation,’ you decided this was a declaration of allegiance for a megacorp vs the little guy is an assumption on your part. you can disagree me with my perspective but i’m not

some content creators do find something to offer something while covering other folks intellectual property as a leverage point. So much of it is junk food though - the one prominent example i can explain how i see it is think of is a manga/anime storytelling channel that does literary and storytelling analysis versus

lol, they actually think they matter:
