No to mention that almost all of the basic research that leads to these breakthroughs, plus all of the research that determines how these drugs and medications should be used (do statins save lives overall if used before a heart attack? In what populations? Are there populations in which they do not perform as well?…

I am a fed and I know researchers at NIH, our tax dollars have become cancer treatments, and a very good one came out last year. We were all very happy about that, in a quiet way.
