I can see maybe going down to 12-15% on a bill that large when it is made up by just a few expensive bottles rather than more items, but $100 is insulting.
Somewhat surprised to see CA lumped in there. I live in NY and when I eat or drink in other cities I’m usually so pleased by the relatively low prices that I’m more than happy to tip at least 20% without a thought.
Yes but having a picture of a card still doesn’t give them ability to verify you’ve cancelled another service. Sinemia is supposed to send you a card as well but mine hasn’t arrived and it’s been 10 weeks since I started my membership; they also give you a “virtual” card number to use online, but I’ve had problems…
“he or she will need to upload proof that they are switching from another movie ticket subscription service by either uploading their old service’s debit card or providing their card number for the old service.”
Yes on both counts. The selection of (good) places that take restaurant.com coupons is pretty limited and once you factor in the minimum bill for each voucher very few are worth it.
I always tip 20% - let’s get that out of the way. But menu prices have gone up along with tuition, gas and milk, so there’s no need to increase the tip percentage over time unless you can show that menu prices haven’t kept up with inflation.
Right, the Sapphire-Freedom combo (along with the Freedom Unlimited for non-travel/dining/5%-spending) can save a lot of money. If someone didn’t have any of these cards I’d recommend those three (or at least the Freedom and Sapphire) and their signup bonuses first, then the Savor.
It’s worth noting that the Sapphire Reserve includes a $300 annual travel credit that is automatically applied to all sorts of purchases - tickets, gas, car rentals, public transportation, etc. - so the annual fee is really more like $150 for most people. The other benefits of the card (1.5x redemption through…
I’ve had a similar experience. My credit score and income are about the same (with a 1% usage rate for my existing credit line) and Cap1 has repeatedly denied my requests for credit line increases. The limit on that card is still less than 60% of my next-highest one.
Yep, I’ve had the same poor experience with Sinemia. My card hasn’t arrived after more than two months, the app is terrible, their customer service has been non-existent, and last month Fandango cancelled a purchase but Sinemia still registered it and won’t let me get another ticket until the month rolls over.
I’ve had Sinemia for two months and it’s been terrible. The interface on the app is annoying at best, it’s a hassle to use because you have to go back and forth between the app and whatever app or website you use to buy tickets, and my card still hasn’t arrived in the mail. The last time I tried to use it the ticket…
It is hit or miss, but I have seen ugly/damaged tomatoes for sale at the Union Sq. Greenmarket on occasion. Last summer I scored a couple bags of slightly damaged heirlooms for$2/lb instead of the usual $4.
It may have to do with also committing battery during the theft versus the value of the property that was stolen. No idea how Montana law applies to this, tho.

Thanks for the tips. That first article you cited (What’s the Difference Between Different Television Screen Types (and Why Should I Care)?) could use an update.
I dairy you to try to rise to the top.
You only have to buy a bunch of bananas once to realize that the last one you eat will be more ripe than the first. And it doesn’t take too much intelligence to realize that if you buy two bananas of different ripeness one will be ready to eat before the other. Putting the two together yourself is common sense, not…
No, that slippery slope argument doesn’t work because fried chicken is *coated* with bread(ing), rather than wrapped in, on top of or between it.
The toppings and sauce sound great. As for the baking method, you can get MUCH better results if you heat the stone (preferably a steel) in the oven for at least 30 min and use a peel (or a rimless or upside-down baking sheet) to launch it onto the stone/steel. A sheet of parchment helps if you still need to practice…
