Underrated; I sadly have but one star(fish) to give.

Yes. This isn’t exactly a Myron Rolle-type scenario.

Shut down in a Blaze of Glory?

Sure, if you pulled someone in off the street and put them in front of a goal that moment. But with a month of training?

We’ve been binge-watching Parts Unknown the past few weeks, and there are A LOT of indicators of there being “more under the surface” with him (in particular the Argentina episode). Hindsight is 20/20 of course, and there might have been no particular reason to take a lot of his comments seriously at the time (other

Obviously it doesn’t harm the game, otherwise they would have changed it.

Take Apple for instance. You might like their commitment to user privacy, Tim Cook’s political views and the company’s stock performance, but not be a big fan of the iOS/Mac OS ecosystem, the missing headphone jack and the “closed” nature of their products. Or more simply, you might like Tesla’s long term plans but

Replying to this now b/c I’m caught in a thread like this now at work. The trick to that is to either change the subject or the reply-to address when you send it to something you can filter.

On what grounds?

Still relevant:

Well yes - while this might be more fair to teams with inferior players, it won’t lead to the most entertaining results. There is something to be said for that.

Yes, that’s all usually true. I suppose that this all depends if you want to reward more entertaining teams, or teams that adopt the best strategy based on the players they have. I think there are good arguments for both.

See Orlandu7's post above - while reasonable on its face, this system would unfairly penalize many teams (typically underdogs) whose best chance at winning a game is to adopt a primarily defensive strategy and hope for successful counterattacks.

On top of that, the second-tier benefits are likely much better for the CSR: $100 Global Entry/PreCheck credit every four years (taking the annual fee down to ~$125), primary insurance on car rentals, Priority Pass lounge access, purchase protection, and the ability to pair it with a Chase Freedom and earn 5% in

Another issue is that there are two players essentially running directly towards each other. Not sliding is a recipe for injury in any case, and a possible interference call (though I’d guess it would go against the runner).

The excuses people give for not wanting to pay for what they ordered amount to either laziness, self-entitlement and/or an inability to do third-grade math or operate the calculator on your phone (notwithstanding the few cases where a generous friend orders less and s/he is the one to suggest splitting it evenly).

And “gleaming” and “streaming” were a little... off-pitch. But overall all pretty dang good.

The fridge is always overstuffed with Styrofoam leftover containers.

I dunno; at least at first glans, Green doesn’t seem like the type who is open to taking tips from his opponents.
