Glad I held off on getting the current FF6 Steam version. Love FF6, and wanted a “legal” PC copy, and was tempted to grab it and mod the crap out of it to get it to be somewhat decent. Happy to skip that step assuming these ports are decent looking and not the mess we had before. Maybe I’ll finish off getting the full

That’s what I’ve wanted since cel shading first became popular, games that capture that hand drawn animation style. We’ve seen some great examples of it, and they almost always age better than their “photorealistic” counterparts.

Glad he doesn’t remain quite as out of place. Would definitely prefer a character creator for this, I have very little interest in playing Bland McBlandface. My enjoyment of Souls-like and general enjoyment of FF though makes it so I can’t ignore it entirely. The trailer was a terrible first impression, but looks like

Absolutely love the art, and that alone will probably make it a neat game to experience, but I kinda worry it’ll be a situation where art will get in the way of the game being fun to play. Feel like I’ve tried a few games that fall in the aesthetically pleasing category that fall short of having gameplay that actually

The main character looks like the generic character they throw at you in a character creator. Which, a custom character would definitely be preferable to playing as that guy.

Yeah, was disappointed to see the all male cast. I guess you have the girl in the background talking about Garland, but hardly the same. Really not much reason not to. I have very little interest in just playing macho “KILL CHAOS” boy group.

Would have liked *any* sort of info on the Pixel Remasters, if only because I would love a not-ugly version of FF6 to have on Steam. Probably the thing I’d be most likely to buy from new things presented at this conference.

Square x Platinum, looks kinda neat and could be interes- “Developed as a live service game” - or maybe not.’

As a big fan of Brandon Sanderson’ Cosmere, this was the last thing I expected but nice to see it’ll introduce a new audience to the books.

And thus every speedrunner will need to have this amiibo (or a clone of it on a card).

As someone who has had fun with 100ft Robot Golf in the past, glad the Mario Golf series is taking a shot at more chaotic golf gameplay.

Now playing

For those curious to see it in action like I was:

I’m sort of mixed on it. Done right, it’s actually pretty nice. It’s a way of conveying information without taking your attention away from the action (looking at a health bar), as well as adding a moment of urgency. They can be *too* much at times, where it does start to obstruct things and make it hard to tell

Having Knuckles in the second movie is fine, but I’d want them to have the third movie just be called “Sonic 3 & Knuckles”

So, unless you’re a big fan that’s already paying close attention to news around this game and are probably going to buy the game regardless, you probably didn’t know this was happening in a limited time frame.

I hope Cris Tales is good, because I’m loving the art for the game.

Do any quests that are Main Story Quest (MSQ), they have a flame/meteor border. They’re unavoidable and needed to progress in the game. Unfortunately some of them follow the fetch variety in the base game, but they’re necessary to progress the story. The next one you need to do is always shown at the top left by

Yeah, the game works really well with controller and it’s nice that the regardless of which version you play you can use whatever method feels best to you. I’ve only occasionally played with controller myself just because I’ve come from other PC MMOs so keyboard is more natural to me. I do like switching over to it

I will say that I personally think the Heavensward and Shadowbringers story is some of the best FF we’ve had in a long while, but it does take a decent amount of time investment to get there.

While maybe not ideal depending on your console setup, the Playstation version of FFXIV fully supports Keyboard and Mouse at least so it’s easy to stay with a control scheme that works for you.
