I remember getting all of the shine sprites back when Sunshine came out and remember generally having a fun time of it. Didn’t really get the hate it sometimes got, though I acknowledged that it was definitely different mechanically than what people wanted.

The way it handles scanning would make right stick a bit more difficult, but probably could be worked around.

Have always been curious to play this game, but never picked it up for the brief time I owned a 360. Would love to see a PC port of this since I’ve heard good things, but sounds like might be a good wait if that ever happens.

I imagine there’s a library of animal sounds that a lot of games pull from, been more than a few games where I hear a sound and think “I’ve heard that exact sound clip before”.

Imagine this is, at least in part, to cover costs of working out those publisher deals to let them keep their games streamable on the platform. Though it seems weird to me that publishers can block that anyways, Nvidia is basically just acting as a remote PC here.

I definitely want it, it’s just too expensive. For PC, at least. PS4's VR solution seemed too limited to me, and the hardware not quite there to support it though it was probably the more successful VR hardware just due to lower cost of entry. I’ve done some PC VR and have been very impressed and wanted it, just

I tend to be in favor of having both as an option. Nice to have a physical space in the world that represents these things that you do, but a quick menu is always appreciated when you just want to get in and get going. That way still have the social space, for players to hang out while waiting on a buddy or something,

One of the few games I’ve gotten through PS+ (for the sporadic periods I’ve had PS+) that I’ve actually played through. So will be nice to just have it free from PS+ restrictions, and nice for those that haven’t played it yet.

I found the addition of random unrelated game characters really distracting. Like, I spent the trailer figuring out what they had to do with the game rather than paying attention to what the actual game was.

True, the competition is nice. I do appreciate them providing an actual threat to Steam, though wish they’d introduce some new features to their client to compete. Hadn’t considered that KH port wouldn’t have happened at all without Epic money. Not sure if that’s really the case, but it is a possibility nonetheless

Steam does have some amazing tools for controller support. Makes it nice when a game does a poor job of handling it itself. I use an Xbox controller which is pretty well supported regardless, but I can see that being an issue.

I try not to be a “NOT ON EPIC” type, but I do find it hard to convince myself to buy things there particularly when timed exclusivity of non-Epic owned properties is involed. Bought one thing outside of the many (pretty great) free games they’ve given. Journey to the Savage Planet, which at the time was exclusive,

This is super cool, and I hope it’ll be useful to devs going forward. As someone who loves character creators and occasionally dreams of learning Unreal and mucking about making my own small games, something I’d like to play around with myself once I find the energy to do so.

Looks nice running at that framerate, though the drop in resolution is less so. Especially as far down as 720p. Curious what it’d run at aiming for 1080p.

If you have a controller it might work, my Xbox controller did at least. Though I couldn’t use the Dpad for movement with it, which was annoying.

Dandara is also free on Epic Store next week for PC players.

Would be nice. I’d like to have this on Switch, but I have a hard time justifying getting it when I have it on Wii U. Same thing with Mario Kart 8, especially since I also go the DLC on Wii U.

I completely forgot about PlayStation Home until this post. That would a nice thing to have around during the pandemic for these types of events.

Would be interesting since, assuming things otherwise continued as they have (which is unlikely), it would lead to the possibility of Nintendo games also coming out on PC. Also better network design, which Nintendo still struggles with.
