Ugh... American. It would seem I hitched my wagon to the wrong horse when traveling for work—I accumulated over 1 million miles with them (which grants me lifetime gold status). I thought "this is great, gold status doesn't offer much, but it does get me 2 free checked bags, priority boarding, expedited security,

Indeed. Came here to mention the same. Jumping the shark is from Happy Days. It refers to the episode in the 5th season in which Fonzie jumps over a shark on water skis. Many believe this moment is when the show began to decline in quality.

I was just getting a little hyped myself. Then I remembered two things about the Wii U that make me mad:

I haven't been following the new displays as closely as I used to, but is the old Pioneer Kuro still used as a benchmark for black levels? And has it finally been outclassed by these displays 6 years later?

It's really sad that 70mm IMAX film is being phased out. Digital just can't compete, even with the new laser systems. The digital equivalent of 70mm IMAX film would contain an estimated 16,000 vertical lines of resolution (4x the vertical res of 4k).

It's a bit technical for those of us not in the field, but I think this graphic does a good job of

Looks like a "lower body injury" to me.

I know you're right, and as an avid user of several generations of iPhone (3G, 4, 5, 5S), it annoys me to no end. I get that Apple wants to keep things simple, but the two are not mutually exclusive. In fact, the lack of filesystem access has the opposite effect in many cases. Apple doesn't even have to give us

Let's hope one of those tricks is filesystem access.

Credit to TwittinSports on Deadspin for posting this first, but this seems to be what happened. iCloud exploits certainly could have played a part at some point or another, but this is not nearly as simple as one guy using one exploit of one service for the entire collection of photos.

There is no way to do it quickly aside from cropping or stretching the picture. The only other option would be to go back in and draw in the additional space for every frame, and that certainly isn't happening.

This may seem like an odd request, but do you happen to have a link to a video of that ad? I looked for a while and had no luck.

Indeed.

I have a theory that interior technology hits automobiles when it is approximately 10 years old.

Nope. But a trek to bc is still pretty cool.

Some thoughts about this contest:

Sat phones can send coordinates and text messages and are not limited by a required network of these devices to get the message to someone.
