You’re right, but the supercharger won’t (shouldn’t) affect the rest of the warranty. My recommendation to most people is to get a 2015 if they want to put a supercharger on it (the kits aren’t really ready for the 17+, and there are still bugs being worked out). The older cars are cheaper to buy, the warranty is a…
The hood is already aluminum, and the stock battery is small (about 35lbs). There aren’t many weight savings to be found up front after the battery, and many of the FI kits do shift the weight balance forward; however, a lightweight battery negates much of that (I’ve been using a 2lb Shorai motorcylce batter for a…
I traded in a 2010 WRX for a 2014 BRZ in October of 2014, the BRZ handles so much better than a WRX that there isn’t a real comparison (the difference is bigger than the power difference). I had 4 friends all in 2011-2014 WRX’s (we autocrossed together) and after I got my BRZ they each bought their own after…
Edelbrock makes a supercharger for the twins, and they’ll honor the manufacturer’s warranty as long as you have the unit installed by a professional and use the Edelbrock tune.
There was a refresh in 2017 and 2013 was the first year (deliveries didn’t really start in the USA until mid 2013, so 4 years for a refresh and the model is 5 years old which sounds pretty typical.
I’m doing my part, my last 3 cars have been new Subarus with manual transmissions (2 WRX’s and a BRZ).
Where I teach, when we have a lock down drill one of the things the administration does is go around and bang on or try to open doors. If the door opens you fail the drill.
The Senate first abdicated it’s responsibility to evaluate the nomination of the sitting President because they were in the other political party.
You are correct, I was wrong. I’ve thought for years that FDR actually put additional justices instead of just proposing to do so.
I’d like to see the next Democratic President nominate a replacement for Neil Gorsuch, with a Democratic controlled House and Senate. The complete bullshit that the Republicans pulled to put him on the bench was inexcusable and should be rectified.
I do not agree that the image of a car is intellectual property, at least as long as it isn’t being misrepresented or claimed to be something else. Now, if the likeness is used as some sort of campaign, advertising, or commercial endeavor then the owner of the car should have the final say in the matter, not the…
Why not? If we did, you could have a car and a wife that will blow their head-gaskets.
If you want to play that game, the top BRZ beat all the FS M3's and would have placed 5th in FS with all the v8 muscle cars. The Camaro is an over-car for the class and was only moved out of FS because owners claimed that they couldn’t keep up with the other FS cars, which last year’s results would argue otherwise.
The Falcon Heavy would win if it were launched sideways (or if the Bugatti had to drive up).
I teach physics, so it’s just job security for me. One of the major issues is that everyday experiences give the false impression that sound is fast, we just don’t deal with big enough distances to notice the ~1,000,000 time difference between the speed of light and sound (in air).
Sonic Booms don’t just happen when an object first exceeds the speed of sound, instead, the pressure waves accumulate along a cone (called the boom carpet) and you hear the boom whenever that wave passes over you.
It’s just an extra 15psi of gauge pressure, so as long as you are 15psi below the burst pressure on the ground, they should be okay (at least until the air heats up and explodes the tire, or liquefies in the cold, or the UV, x-ray, and gama ray light deteriorates it until it ruptures).
Fair enough, I’ve been to both and I rather put the blame on Nebraska.
Spain was neutral in WWI, so they were just about the only ones who would publish news when bad stuff happened (like a global pandemic so bad they had to cancel the war). Since Spanish newspapers were the first, and for some time the only, sources to cover the outbreak it was named the Spanish Flu.
