“built like tanks” is the problem. They need more ways to dissipate the energy of a crash. Everything is so strong and the driver becomes the weak link in a crash.

Going into Subway is not an emergency. Police and EMTs leave their vehicles running at all times here in Atlanta, whether they are in their cars or not. Then again, I don’t believe they would waste the court’s time by writing such a ticket...

It’s thinking like that which lead to my rib being broken...at an indoor kart track. Dude thought he was Dale resurrected and was hell bent in catching me, which he could only do at the apex of the hairpin if he didn’t brake.
Very long and winding story short: Greg was telling people he was an investment advisor (though banned by the SEC in early ‘90s) and was investing their rerirement, college funds, nest eggs, church building fund, etc straight into his Citi Bank account. He kept it going by getting Citi Bank to create fake “dividend”…
You do realize that goes both ways right? You have to treat people you disagree with vehemently equally to those you like.
I think they are from a C5 Corvette pop-up headlight delete kit.
That makes a lot of sense. Thanks for explaining it thoroughly.
I belueve that is why most banks and major credit cards are housed in Delaware. Their rules are advantageous for interest rates and banking.
Yes, you (and myself) are a Milennial. The line is fuzzy, but it has to do with the technology we grew up with.
The first event of the American Grand Prize that was held in Savannah, GA in 1908. It made Savannah the birthplace of Grand Prix racing in the United States.
My 2004 GTI will rev to all holy hell too if you dip the clutch with cruise control set.
I tell my mom quite often that I wish I had become more involved with a cheap sport, like golf or tennis.
You’re assuming too much. More like on their phones complaining about traffic and then getting hit while they obliviously drive through the intersection and into this women’s mental break down.
The luxury Patrols are really nice. I got to drive one earlier this year and it was pretty cool.
This wasn’t publicity. The Continental rain tires are nowhere near as good as the Michelin open rain tire in the GTLM class. Early in the race it was obvious GTLM cars were faster than the P cars and that a GTLM car could win overall. The Corvettes were fast, but the Porsches were just faster.
Rodas was not a professional. He was a gentleman driver in a relatively young career.
The “weaker” material in the side doors is intriguing. I am wondering if, and this is only speculation, they are taking the Chevy route and trying to sell that Steel is stronger (and therefore superior) to other, more exotics metals such as titanium and other alloys.
To be honest, this entire list could have been Smokey Yunick cheats. Like, the 7/8ths Chevelle(?) he made and raced at Talladega. To prove it’s legality, he went and grabbed a road going version of the Chevelle out of the parking lot. It matched, and he was allowed to race it. And yes, he built the road going version…
Very valid points. Ferrari does it because they akways have and it does help their image and heritage, which you rightly pointed out. However, Alfa Romeo and FIAT do have branding on the car to show their relationship.
