I applaud them for the build. It's a cool car. I just wouldn't compare the two head to head. The race loses something in my mind when the winning car is on race tires and the loser is on street tires. Tires make such a huge difference in racing.
Was the 944 on drag slicks?
Oh yes, I know how that goes. My 2014 build was a 403(b) loan.
Can I get an 18 year loan on the cup car?
I feel like the inability to show off on the street contributes to depreciation.
I'm generally okay with spiders too. But that was horror movie level stuff there.
If only. It would sure save a lot on transporting raw materials from Earth. Need to make use of all that iron in the Martian soil.
An industrial-sized 3D printer might be nice to send ahead of time to get building materials ready.
Has anyone seen a manual SS? I did a new/used dealer inventory search and I didn't find a single SS sedan with a manual transmission.
I test drove an auto GS. While I prefer manual, it was a very nice car to drive. If I was going auto though, I'd probably get the Lacrosse for the extra space/comfort.
The only complaint I've had with the series is that the suspensions seem a little too weak. I know components can break from hitting the curb too hard, but it seems to happen just a bit too frequently.
Oh I'd totally race the track in current form. I'm just not brave enough to go 10/10ths on the course in the video.
Those trees are right against the edge of the racing surface. I don't think I have the guts to do that.
It's run it mostly in Global Time Attack and Ultimate Street Car Association events. It's technically still my daily driver even though it doesn't look much like it.
I believe the pedestal wing is necessary to get that kick-up on the back of the wing into the airflow pattern of the Mustang. The general shape is similar to the S197, and with that car, the wing had to be mounted very high to be useful.
