The small rivers of molten aluminum support that theory.

It’s the only reason the death toll in the US isn’t astronomical. Private organizations and state governments moved ahead with precautions despite the nonsense coming from the federal government. It’s sad, but at least it means the world hasn’t gone completely crazy.

The only truth that Trump’s cult knows comes from his twitter feed.  Actual reality does not seem to phase them.

can’t unsee

It couldn’t go on the roof because battery packs are very heavy - this is why they are already put as low as possible in the floor of the car. It’d be like strapping 1200 pounds (Tesla 85kWh battery weight from a quick google) to your roof. Even smaller batteries would still weigh several hundred pounds, which would

Sexy-ass bicycle

Same with cantis, there are tricks to setting up single pull road calipers. Get it right, and you can slow down from speed. I was more worried about the old Turbo R tires at that speed than braking at the bottom of the hill with the Campy side pulls.

And I’m running Shimano 600 levers on that bike. I may be crazy, but

Whelp, I have a new crush.

Love your Alfa, BTW! I had a gold ‘86 Veloce for 4-5 years, it was a great car. Also an ‘86 GTV6 at the same time, but work got in the way of ever getting it sorted out, so I sold it on. I regret that.

Wow, that’s some odd setup you have. Either you have your saddle way too low, or you bought a frame that’s way too big for you.

I used to ride a loop around Griffith Park every morning before work. The descent was pretty exciting even on my canti-equipped Nishiki Alien mountain bike—so exciting in fact that I once proudly received a speeding ticket from an irate cop for doing 40 in a 25.

Alright I’m not a bike man or an Alfa man but what a fuckin’ sick set up. You’d kill Radwood.

My first “good” bike was a late 70's Peugeot UO8 bought used - memories. In the earlier white and gold paint scheme. I actually intended to buy one of the new black ones like yours when I found my Chas Roberts frame hanging on the wall of a local shop for a bargain price. Someone had ordered it but never picked it up.

this week was a real dawning point for me that this is just who I am

looks amazing! love those Pugs. Always cracks me up when I see All-Citys riding around in the knockoff colors.

“A double dumbass on you!”

Pssst.  Look at the display stand, not the sign.

People just flat out choose not to recall reality. They remember one close battle or one amazing pass that gets played over and over in highlight reels only to forget that races would sometime routinely end with podium cars a lap down or race wins decided by mechanical failure lottery.

yeah, those damn safey regs and halos to protect drivers. Danger is their job. Like, why do we even give police officers bullet proof vests?

Do people really concern themselves that much with axle ratios anymore when we have 8, 9 and 10 speed transmissions now?
