You know what really grinds my gears? (Since everyone is dying to know.)

“Last September, Kylie couldn’t even get anyone to notice her because she had her old face...”

Snarky Obama is best Obama.

“I have no idea what that means, and I suspect he doesn’t either,” Obama said.

Dang. That's a great response. I think I love Kristin Stewart now.

I’m definitely not afraid of looking my age - but I am afraid of looking afraid to look my age.

Yep. I have a 15-month-old son and when I read about little Aylan Kurdi, I cried every time I thought of him. In the car, at work, wherever. Shit, now I'm crying again.

Yeah, I’ve been wondering about her since this story first broke. I was hoping she’d get the help she needed. It sounds like she needed help long before, and we as a society failed her, and thus her son.

I woke up this morning thinking it was a bit chilly in the house so but not terribly so so I dressed the baby in her normal onesie and socks and went on about my day. Then I read this nightmare, put fuzzy pants on the baby, and have since spent the rest of the day cuddling her.

It doesn’t have to be that cold for hypothermia to set in. Mid sixties can do it, especially if the person is small without much body fat. Throw in the fact that he was sick and had low resistance/heat reserves, and there you go, tragedy.

Lately the Syrian refugee stories make me tear up and clutch my 2 year. I cannot fathom the terror of trying to take a child on such a perilous journey and some of those photos are so heart-wrenching.

When I was a prosecutor, I found that frequently, the best way to get mental health care for a person was to charge them with a felony. At that point they can start getting evaluated, get any medications they might need and maybe get some kind of ongoing treatment. I hope this poor woman can be restored to health.

This is still one of the saddest stories I’ve ever heard.

And now I wish I was home hugging my 14 month old. When I first heard about this story I thought maybe he had died at home and she was in shock and brought him to the swing...but this...I think I’m done with today.

Our high school senior class quote was along those lines, “work like you don’t need the money, dance like no one is watching.” One of my good friends was valedictorian. She got drunk for the first time at a graduation after party, and I remember her slurring, “it’s SO true. You should work like no one is watching, and

Mitt Romney didn’t consider black people fully human until 1978, assuming he follows Mormon doctrine.

Or he recently bought “Overturned Supreme Court Decisions Of The Day Toilet Paper.”
