I think you hit it on the head. The Adam West Batman is just as campy and illogical as Batman & Robin, but it is in on the joke. Batman & Robin is like, “Oops, we accidentally made this a lot more stupid than we intended.”

Okay, ability to think straight restored and there’s one thing which in any other show I’d put down to coincidence but with Filoni behind the scenes... see what you think of this:

Now playing

But, didn’t Bo-Katan originally come by the Darksaber by Sabine giving it to her? I don’t remember any combat in that exchange. Sabine did the exact same thing that Djarin does here — “it’s yours” — and with Sabine, it was in front of all the Mandalore clan elders.

true at the very least that awful show saved her from imminent death

Fun news, but really hoping we somehow get to see these guys...

Warriors Three?

That pissed me off to just kill off the Warriors Three so unceremoniously.

If she had been in Ragnarok, she would've just been unceremoniously murdered, so I call that a win.

Yeah, I’m a bit on the fence about this myself. On one hand, it’s not even really funny, and is really obnoxious. On the other hand, I hate how studios have been trying to bend over backwards for China, and trying to appease the Chinese government as much as possible. I kinda wonder if this was Anderson’s way of

Riiight but I didn’t say that. I said the playground rhyme was racist, but what was said in the video seems less racist and more idiotic unless you add some deep layers of context that I’m just not seeing here. There’s a racial component to the joke in the video, but it doesn’t appear to be malicious, just stupid.

If there’s one good thing I can say about 2020 it’s that there been so few big movies released that I forgot these gushing “early reaction” tweets were a thing.

there are puns... and then there are really bad puns.

I don’t... Get it? Like the stupid joke I get that, just the reaction. Your description makes it seem like this joke is being tied back to another racist joke I’ve never heard of, and then it’s being tied to yet another idiom I’ve never heard of... Also, is the actor that said it Chinese? If not, what is the joke? I

I’m Chinese myself, and... yeah, it’s kind of obnoxious, but I’m also kind of numb to China pitching a bitch about everything. This seems like a really petty thing comparatively.

I think this episode is definitely after Ahsoka picked up Sabine. The space whales took Thrawn and Ezra to who knows where. The magistrate would have no idea where Thrawn is unless he already returned, nobody would.

What’s weird here, though, is that Filoni is literally the one person who should know this. He created Rebels, and was credited as a writer and supervising director on the series finale. He’s also one of the creator/producers of The Mandalorian, and was credited as the writer and director of this episode. He’s the one

Honestly, you couldn’t do an actual Hellblazer movie, it just wouldn’t work for enough people to have a profit margin a studio would go for and an indie company probably would never have the budget to make it work. What we got was fun, and got the actual characters comics some good attention so I never did see any

Yes, it was a bad adaptation of the comics but it was a very entertaining movie on its own. Both Stormare and Swinton were great in it and such movies really need fun bad guys and they both delivered. The story was engaging. The effects were cool. I would love a sequel.

Forgettable, with Stormare’s Satan and Swinton’s Gabriel?

If there was a list of “movies you'd appreciate so much more if you haven’t read the source material” this would be at the top.
