They really struggled to portray the nuances of how she handled all the chaos back in Mereen. The fact that she was gradually turning into a brutal dictator got lost and she ended up looking like a tough leader who was forced to take drastic action by the circumstances around her.

The issue isn't that her turn was surprising, it's that the events of her turn were rushed and perfunctory.

Lets consider the more egregious part they didn’t understand. Basic storytelling.

It would have made more sense, for her to look insane, if instead the Tarleys bent the knee and she burned them anyways just for the hell of it.

I don’t know why they are surprised when they built the scene to not impose guilt. The scene was specifically set up with no choice for Dany. The Tarlys refused to bend the knee and refused to take the black. Realistically Dany could have imprisoned the but the show never presented this as an option. If Dany had been

“In our minds, we thought the Randyll Tarly scene was disturbing. Then I watched it with a crowd of people at a friend’s house and they were cheering. Weirdly, the audience just didn’t care. They loved Dany,” he said.

You cannot spoil that which will never be published, Beth.

I agree with your general sentiment, but saying “fuck these dudes” seems excessively harsh. For context, by 1990 Barry Allen’s first wife had been murdered; he killed her murderer to stop him from killing his second wife, who went mad after he disappeared; and he went on trial for manslaughter. And then he died in the

I liked the 90's show. The Trickster episodes are classics.

If Red was in it prior to this, I would have to imagine he would have to smack Thanos in the head while calling him a dumbass.

Is it just me, or is this thing going to owe a lot to the Tom King/Gabriel Hernandez Walta Vision series?

No mention of the pitch perfect casting to put Kitty Foreman into the godsdamned MCU?

So, just checked IMDB and noticed that Kat Dennings is in this.  She’s hasn’t played Darcy since Thor: Dark World, very interesting to see her back in this of all series.

I still think back to when one of the clones would have to pretend to be one of the other clones once in awhile... so she’s playing a clone of herself, pretending to be another clone... especially trying to surpress or imitate another accent, and forgetting it’s all just the same person.

In my defense, the closest thing I’ve seen to criticism on this page was someone saying he looks like a guy in a rubber suit but admitting he hasn’t seen it in motion.

Pretty sure the announcement of the show getting cancelled had more to do with declining ratings than the costume. In fact, I've seen nothing but praise for Swamp Thing's look.

I thought he looked pretty good.

For how much they had to jam into it the fact that the episode was as watchable and an enjoyable as it was just goes to show the skills of the cast and crew involved and again underline how much of a mistake cancelling the series was.

I haven’t watched this show because i don’t have that platform, but I’d be interested to see a contrast between Swamp Thing and it’s cousin NBC’s Constantine as far as genre executions go. This show sounds like it’s trying to be actual serialized horror where Constantine was a procedural with horror trappings. Since

I kinda loved this show, all in all - it’s dying off with a lot of unrealized potential. Hope they bring this crew back in some form or another on the DCU at some point...
