I’m the first person toe say fuck Tesla and fuck Elon, but in this particular case I am not so sure. This “repair” is super janky and is going to fail. They cut off the old fitting and replaced it with a brass unit that will likely warp... this isn’t a repair that is going to end well.

That’s exactly why they don’t offer a two door. They know you’ll buy it anyhow. I would totally prefer an old school two door but I don’t think you’re gonna see one here in the US.

I’m a family of one (not including cats) and one of those people who would vastly prefer a single/extended cab to a 4 door.... but at this price point I’d say fuck it and get this.

I want a Maverick Lightning.  If EV’s aren’t the perfect way to bring back small trucks, I don’t know what is.

I use my ‘14 leaf as my DD, 80 miles of range, living in Seattle proper, I drive ~8 miles a day, so it took me three years to go 10K miles. I think if people used these small EVs as DD’s and we upped charging infrastructures at peoples places of employment that could really help cities with carbon emissions.  

You can get a Tesla without the self driving. It’s an option.
