It wouldn't be a speedrun at that point, it'd just be a let's play.

You are definitely not "far more of a gamer than most" and quite frankly, trying to pose as some "I'm more hardcore than you and can decide rules for a community" is completely laughable.

Clipping through walls is absolutely playing the game. Your example is completely meaningless to the article and what we're talking about. It doesn't have any relevance at all and because you can't think past "this is my way of playing so this is the only way someone can play," you're going to stay ignorant.

You probably want to cool it with the constant insults. You're just showing even more ignorance. Nothing done in this run or any other speedrun contains cheating. They are all operating under what the game itself allows. If saving/quitting is part of the run, that is noted in the category for it.

Oh I'm sorry I didn't realize you spoke for a community that's existed for 15 years and decided on how to label what they do.

It isn't even close to using a gameshark and it isn't cheating. It isn't utilizing anything out of the game's standard code to do anything and it takes far more skill than anything you could come up with for a standard playthrough.

These guys honestly have more appreciation for the game than you do. They know more about every facet mentioned than you possibly could. They didn't skim through the novel, they've read it 75,000 times over and can recite it from heart while acting our your favorite passages.

There are usually discrepancies between real-time and in-game timers. This is why there are speedruns noted as "RTAs" or real-time attacks. In-game timers are usually pretty wonky on what they consider for counting.

This game is basically the most hype thing ever.

10 Games to Play Instead of Candy Crush: Literally any 10 games.

Christie was a lot better than both of them.

I'm planning on renting it but I don't expect a whole lot from it. The little I've seen make it look like Dishonored without all the awesome mechanics.

People have said the same thing during other launches. "Oh people are starved for games" and then it turns out games bomb.

We have many developers who have already come out and proved this story false on multiple levels. The interview states things about having certain dev tools at a time when it didn't exist yet, among other things.

I get the feeling that a lot of this is made up and false. Well, a lot of it's already been proven false just by other developers saying certain things weren't even available at the timeframe this interview states for dev tools, among a lot of other developers having already posted entirely different stories.

"Back in the day" you played the game for a long long time just to get through it once on those settings. They do deathless runs repeatedly on the highest difficulty using perfect routing and time saving strategies. What you are describing is not anywhere close to what they do. You have an inferiority complex.

That's definitely judging and in a really really weird way. And everything they do IS in the limitations of the game. They aren't cheating. They're all things the game allows you to do if you know how to do it.

They've done 00 Agent runs separately. I'd love to see you come anywhere close to what they did even by yourself though. I mean, it's supposed to be easy right.
