That Luke Skywalker cameo was NUUUUUTTTSSSS!!!!

I think she got The Professional confused with Beautiful Girls.

Somehow Padme returned.

If you don’t recall the scene, as Strange and America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) travel through Earth-838, America grabs a slice of pie from a stand and is accosted by its owner, Pizza Poppa, for not paying.

How were you able to check luggage in though? In those instances I’ve tried to check in and they won’t take luggage more than 4 hours before departure. So there would be a 0-50 minute or so gap between checking said luggage you’re dragging around and when you could check into the lounge.

To be “cutting edge” and “high tech” a company needs to look the part just as much as they act the part. Slinging decade old design around will start to feel really old once there are so many other models to choose from. And there are a really impressive number of new EVs coming out in the next 2 years.

Upvoted for Elongelicals!

THEY don’t put their trust in the CyberTruck. The people who put their trust in the CyberTruck are Elongelicals, who would never dare drive a truck that isn’t blessed by their lord and savior.

I lived in Phoenix for 6 years in the late ‘00s.

That was kinda my implication, yeah.

I’d think they’d sell a lot more Rivians if they actually could sell more Rivians.

Back to topic, the problem with poli e chases in the US is risk/ reward. The number of innocents killed and injured in low value chases makes it hard to justify. Consider the Jalopnik article about the traffic cop doing a PIT maneuver over an expired tag. Limiting chases to violent felonies and firing and prosecuting

I had a student who I was convinced could not have been meeting the behavior goals in his IEP (special ed plan) behavior goals. His bullshit was mostly directed at me, so it filled more of my awareness than it otherwise would have. When it came IEP time I was sure I would be saying ‘no this shIt aint working.’

As a fellow Washingtonian, I agree with your assessment on our state’s laws, but I’m not torn on this particular one at all. This is a good law that is saving innocent lives.

I worked at a clinic in the lake city neighborhood of Seattle, a chase went by my clinic that ended a block away when the car hit a light pole at 91 mph killing the passenger. This was on residential streets with a 25 mph limit. The cops were chasing for the now totaled stolen vehicle, and had identified the occupants

Also, in full awareness, KOMO4 is Sinclair.

Sinclair is the reason the FCC regs against multiple media ownership were originally instituted. Their entire agenda is conservative politics mixed with righteous religious indignation. With a dose of do what I say.......or else. Where do these people come from?

As someone from Washington, I’m torn. I think in general, our state doesn’t always hit the mark with the unique laws it passes.

Carjacking as you’re describing it (especially using a gun or other weapon) is a violent crime and would justify a police pursuit under Washington state law.
