Or the attacker can just get the authentication while being nearby, save it into a buffer, then walk up to the car later.” That’s not how mutual authentication works, at least not in properly implemented systems.

Yeah, I agree with smalley. You skipped right over dumb and went straight to genius.

That might be dumb enough that is circles around to being genius.

As a somewhat-classic working person with lots of Unix background: Is this really a sudo-classic, or a pseudo-classic? Because I can use all the privileges I can get. Either way, in today’s market, this isn’t a pseudo-deal; I say Nice Price.

That is a big truck and there is literally no extra space in the cabin for anything but people.  That 6cyl is a decent engine but totally lacks grunt for such a large truck to even get out of it’s own way.  I had a similar engine in a smaller bodied short bed and it was a bit of a dog even on that overall.  I can’t

I had a ‘94 F-150 equipped just like this one (I6, 5sp, single-cab) save for the 4WD. Only thing needed to keep it on the road was gas and an oil change every so often. When I sold it at 275k miles it was still running/driving like it did when it pulled out of the dealer parking lot.

MK6 GTI here. Two kids now in the back. The hatch can get a bit tight, but the trick is roof box for road trips. I put a Thule Motion XT XL on top and it is massive and works great for all but the really heavy stuff. Puts your crap outside of your passenger space, low enough to load and park in any parking garage.

Pig will fly before the Republican legislators in Florida passes a ‘use’ tax on boats. The rich GOP yacht owners would run them all out of town.

Miami-Dade is going to lose, I don’t see how anything that is officially registered as a boat with the USCG can be taxed under the current law. Eventually a judge will have to

Completely agree, but I can still dream

The removable roof also makes your roadside rescue & acrobatics dreams much easier.

I just can’t get into this car, it seems like a rather half-assed answer to a question few people asked.

The exterior is ugly, the interior is kinda crappy and half assed. You can’t see the instruments, the range is ok but but not even competitive with our Bolt (currently at 300+ miles with the new battery pack), you

I seriously thought it was the same car, even as I read the article.

C’mon Ford, you know you want to call it this!

Not going to happen anytime soon. The median car price is 40k. Median truck is about 45k. EVs add about 7-9k for batteries, electronics, extra suspension damping etc.  That means 52-54k median price.  There might be some cheap imports that get 150mi of range that run 35k but that is going to be the low end.

Fifteen years ago, I vowed to never buy a Ford again because of their typically-shit dealer interactions. Also, I always found their material/design quality trailed far behind import brands, but vehicles cost the same.

e-ranger tows 6k lbs, doneski.

how hot of a hatch? the Chevy Bolt will do 0-60 in 6.5 seconds (by comparison a Focus ST was around 6.3 and a GTI is around 5.9-6), has a hatch, and weighs roughly 3500 lbs, and costs less than $35k.

I remember those. I think they were fleet trucks, yeah? I’m sure there were some here in Oregon.

I’m super excited for that light bar to appear in my rearview mirror soon.

Not sure where you’re getting 15%. The numbers I see say Ford sold 3.9 million vehicles worldwide last year.
