That is all very true from what I have read in the research coming out as well. The difference is that any organized event at has 100k to 1MM people is the associated risk factors of what they will do in addition to sidewalk squatting.

Maybe they will all wear their full-face helmet with the visor down at all times? This could be a great time to turn a new leaf!

It took me about 5 reads, but I got there.  Then it hit the pit of my stomach...

4th of July-VID was definitely a thing on the Torch Lake sandbar... they are still counting cases from that.

One reason why to have a Government agency in control of your splashdown, they have the full might of the US Coast Guard and multiple other agencies to protect the area.

What’s even weirder is that people ARE buying vehicles right now, especially the highly profitable ones. Dealerships around here are looking pretty light on inventory, and I have heard of deal trades for trucks here in MI that go for straight sticker price sent to TX.

Every day is a different response and adjustment. My company supplies raw materials to the Tiers and right now we are very much on a reactionary path. Demand is very high some places, and forecasts slip out on others. To feel that this higher than normal demand for some vehicles is sustainable would be a fools errand,

I can also confirm this, for at least some sectors including the truck market are actually above IHS data for June and July and demand for material to build is not slowing down... yet. We are expecting it, but not in 3rd quarter.

Man, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. I don’t usually mind some, but the level of snark is mystifying today.

My thought exactly. 4x4 NP, 2x4 priced too high.

Back in the day we used some of these we found in an Iraqi airbase we took over to make a floating dock on the river where we pumped for drinking water. Worked pretty good for a while until one of them sprung a leak from an old weld.  Good times...

Very true. I think the only one’s I even see anymore (or the last 10 years) are the 80's military variant of the C/K. Nothing like 1/8" steel for fenders to keep it around longer.

I think we had it great, the 80's were a great time to be a little kid!

If I had the time I would drive to wherever and pick this up today, no questions asked.

I remember those days sitting at home sick on the couch from school. Wrong game, but nostalgia activated!

Nice!

You would think so, but he has too much analysis paralysis to get too involved with something for too long before having to take time to choose which color sneakers he would need to wear.

I know, so many questions! Maybe it’s like the setup in Ready Player One?  But then it demonstrates that he was indeed pushed all around the cab when baddies chased him so who knows!

That is my wife and I’s retirement dream, a bit of “van-life” where you are in one National Park during the day, sleep in the van while it drives you to the next location and wake up to an entirely new view. Not going to happen tomorrow, but by time I retire it may be a realm of possibility at least partly so.

I only have BI_GO, I had Carlos Ghosn as my center square...
