I agree. In Ypsilanti, MI the big astronomy professor there went to the local city council to change their 'acorn style' lights that point straight up in the sky with their orange bulbs. So they will be slowly switching over to the covered style - but they are the blue-white light from LED's. It is now becoming

The blue light suppresses melatonin production which leads to a whole host of bad issues, like insomnia, diabetes, etc. Blue light is the wake-up light for mammals (and plants too btw), so as it may be calming and subside depression for seasonal disorders in the winter - it can cause havoc at night.

But the whiter light is actually worse for light pollution too, so this is still bad for astronomers. Why does there need to be so much lighting in this world, the night sky was so beautiful before

I thought the same thing. It's the same crudely drawn Beavis and Butthead transported into the computer animated 3D world of today. It's a little jarring.

Instant Dexter storyline.

The luggage creed, awesome! Haven't heard that one since my last deployment!

To torrentland!

I've been up to the Alaskan tundra for the past two summers and let me tell you, when you do see the sun for 22 hours straight it is the most miserable thing you could imagine. It just slowly spins all around you - never noon - never night; just a perpetual 10am sun-in-your-face type of light.

Nice gallery!

It was on the fence with ratings. The borderline ratings all season were enough reason to cancel the expensive to produce show, but the show kept enough ratings on the death slot to keep it afloat. Something tells me part of it is to keep JJ Abrams on Fox's good side as well, but you can thank all of the in-show

That's what I thought as well. I heard a scientist saying that in reality we should be buying a cylinder of He for over a $1000. That would make the ship possibly the most expensive thing flying!

But what is the question again?

Shirley Manson would be awesome!! But somehow you would have to explain the Scottish accent she somehow developed. Then you could pull Sylar to do a young Leonard Nimoy in a classic episode....

Thanks for the help and the link, but I think I found out the issue with my computer. My OSX install was being corrupted with the installation of XCode 4 over XCode 3 and the installation of Adobe CS5. The whole computer eventually puked on me tonight which is now involving a complete format and fresh install of

When in Ohio, I just went in by myself - most people don't use lawyers for simple speeding charges. Every time I have gotten the charge reduced (or eliminated if the officer wasn't there). Just confess to what you were doing, apologize, and say you don't want points on your license.

I actually kind of like it. Basic design, and I haven't seen many glitches at all (although I use feeds most of the time). I just wish it would adapt to the size of my browser instead of this super old-school 800px format.

Make it a permanent fix - superglue a patch over the seam to take pressure off of it. I used a MooseJaw flag for mine and it's been doing well for close to a year!

You can also ftp in and drop in pictures for the screensaver. I put in the APOD photos repo pics, years of pics from the universe every time the Boxee box goes to sleep..

Check out MythTV to use as your backend and let XBMC run as your frontend. It requires a TV controller card which I assume you have on your HTPC. Check these links for some info to see if this will work for you:
