One of my favorite, locally owned bagels shops has a phone list of local shelters taped to their wall. I don't know for a fact that they donate their stuff, but I'm assuming they do. Make me want to go there more often.

I worked at a Manhattan Bagel and the franchise owner donated the daily leftovers to a local group home. The store has switched owners, but I hope the practice is still carried out.
