Unfortunately the Supreme Court has already ruled that police have the right to lie to people in the pursuit of their duty. afaik all they would have to do is claim “suspicion”, which they were already claiming due to the yelling, and now they get to lie their faces off to you without fear of repercussion.

To be honest, gaslighting morons in Florida isn’t even that hard.

If they found out a paper in their field might be plagiarized, they are ethically obligated to tell their ethics board. They could be reprimanded for not doing it. This isn’t a moral quandary. The ethics board lays out exactly what their supposed to do in black and white.
